awesome in this place
It turned out that Lyn's friend had once again backed out of the dinner engagement. Lyn had no dinner and I being nearby gleefully agreed to join her for dinner (or is it the other way around?). I walked to my car..slowly.....the sun had not fully gone. In the end I just sat on a stone bench near the car park watching the last remaining light fade away into the night. I had told Lyn 7 pm to meet but it looked that if I was to make that time I would have to leave...now. So I left Labrador Park but I knew I would be back again soon (the next day actually).
I drove to Lyn's place as best I could and was actually late anyway. But still she gave me that oh-so-pretty smile of hers. Made me feel bad for making her wait.
Lyn informed me that May, her sis, would also be joining us. I do not know what exactly their relationship is like. It seems like they enjoy antagonising one another to no end. Yet they always call and message one another to go out for dinner, bowling and the like. So we set off for May's office...
After much ado we finally got May in the car and got out of there to go to One North. I had heard that they have some really good hawker fare there. It is actually a collection of the best foodstalls in Singapore. When we got there some stalls were already closed for the day. We did our footwork and finally settled for Indian food. The girls ordered rice and a few side dishes. For my part I ordered prata, kosong and cheese+mushroom. It was not too bad but rather on the pricey side. I guess the rent is a bitch, not to mention the entertainment fees for the dancing drink stall attendants.
Following dinner we drove towards Marina South with the intention of bowling. Along the way their cousin called up and informed that she would be staying over that night as she had an early lecture(?) the next day. So we scrapped the bowling and instead headed home. I dropped Lyn at the MRT so she could wait for her cousins timely arrival, as May and I went to Tiong Bahru to buy fruits. But the fruit stall there was already closed for the day. So we made our way back again to the train station and found Lyn still waiting there.
One cousin had arrived we adjourned to the nearby food centre for cold chng thg. Yummy!! Hence the long queue that snaked from the stall. After that I sent the lovely ladies home. (No...I did not accept Lyn's invite to stay over) :P
