A new entry...
Not able to meet Carolyn this week. We agreed to meet on her next off day. Till then the phone is a useful tool....
Met Joyce on Thursday and Sunday. Had a great dinner at the amusingly named Coqs and Bulls on Sunday. Even managed to meet a Miss Universe 1st runner up....whose name escapes me right now. What a bitch! Bwaahahahaaa...
My word of the week 'Jackass'. Do not ask me who it refers to....
Sunny makes funny noises when she goes on bumps. Gotta have it checked out over the weekend at the Nissan Autocare Centre as discussed with Joyce. ...
Lyn and Hasli seem to be having a cold war of sorts over work issues. So Hasli is just bumming around and taking advantage of the situation as he usually does. The creep...
Speaking of creeps; "Jackass!!Jackass!!"
Another thing that starts with J-A-C-K is Jackie. I hate being rude but the woman does not seem to take hints well. It is like Niki all over again...
I treat her as a friend and nothing else. If she does not want to risk losing a friend, she has gotta learn to be 'a friend'.
Bought the 'new' FIFA 2004 for my XBOX. It is kinda fun yet infuriating at the same time. It lacks the playability of the 2003 edition yet it boasts better graphics. I guess you can't have it all....
Hmm...Alison and Joy. Is this a name or is this a new beginning? Another nurse to add to my collection. At least I can rest in the knowledge that I am in good hands...literally....for some TLC...
Watched The Passion of the Christ yesterday with Lyn, Jack, Steven (or is it Philip...Jacks brother) and someone who will remain unnamed for obvious reasons.
Was a good movie overall but rather too graphic for my liking. A lot of churches are using this show as a form of evangelisation and giving out free tickets and the like. But I think this show takes too many artistic liberties as far as the plot goes. It is not based purely on Gospel accounts but rather on Catholic manuscripts. The use of theatrical devices is evident throughout. The supporting characters were not fully fleshed out with the plot driven mainly by the arrest, trial and eventual crucifixion of Jesus.
James Caviezel gave the performance of a lifetime in the title role. Monica Belucci was particularly memorable in her role as Mary Magdalene. Hristo Naumov Shopov played the conflicted role of Pontius Pilate to the tee. Torn between justice and appeasing the mob, Pilate chose the latter to tragic consequences.
The sets and cinematography were accurate and breathtaking all at once.
If I were to rate The Passion I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.
