Boxers or briefs? that is the question.
Friday: Met Agnes at Bugis.Had dinner at Long John Silver's and then headed back to my place where we napped until 11:30 pm.
On Saturday met Agnes to go to Funan and buy a cloth cover for her piano which was apparently misplaced by the piano tuner guys. Had Ya Kun toast for a dinner (sort of)I parked Sunny at his usual spot and proceeded to enter my house with Agnes. I then heard a loud bang! I turned to find Sunny was not in his spot. Apparently I had not pulled up the handbreak all the way and Sunny had rolled back to hit a van belonging to one of my neighbours. The place where I live is on a steep incline so one has to be extra careful when parking lest your vehicle rolls back to hit another. The van appeared to have sustained no serious damage but Sunny has his entire corner bent in. The light casing is cracked. Now the boot cannot open and close fully and right back door needs to be closed extra hard (even more so than before) to be shut. Poor Sunny. he and I been through alot together. It is all my fault. I should have double checked the handbrake before going into the house. Now looks like I have got to send him for some panel beating and another paint job. Not to mention the possible repair costs of the other van.
Had dinner at Bedok South hawker Centre.
Went Desaru with Agnes yesterday. Surprisingly the Causeway was relatively smooth both ways so getting in and out was a breeze. It was a long drive to and fro and the beach was full. Was a hot day though. We were literally melting under the sun. Another thing that struck me was how hard it is to find food. We drove quite a bit to no avail. Most of the stalls were either closed or selling only 'malay' food. Eventually we had to go to Danga Bay for Merry Brown's chicken. Not bad. But Agnes suffered from a bout of gastritis so we had to cut short our trip after the late lunch. She was in such pain she had difficulty walking. Next time we shouyld have a good meal before heading out to far flung places. Another thing about Malaysia is how nothing is like it seems in a map. Only after much driving and chance we we able to find the fruit farms and crocodile farms. We were unable to find the Ostrich farm though although we did see signs along the way which were unable to point us in the right direction. Lessons learnt.
