Get off that butt!
Been thinking...
Not that it is a surprise to anyone.
That I think. Happens to be that I think alot.
I am a thinker. I think, but I do not always do what I think.
Some wise ass once said,'I think, therefore I am'.
No idea what that has to do with anything else I am saying here.
Anyway the point of this pointless tirade is that I have after much consideration (nearly 1/2 an hour!!!) decided to make some changes to my lifestyle.
- Spend less time in front of my PC. I spend most of my idle hours in front of my pc when I am not at work and when I am not with my sugar-plum, honey-bun,sweetie pie AGNES. I spend it reading other blogs and all the other sites linked on the right. I think if I just do what has to be done and then log off I would find I have lots of time for lots of the other stuff I want to do and complain that I do not have the time to pursue.
- Make an effort to work out/jog at least once a week. A healthy body begets a healthy mind. Or is it the other way around? Anyway one should make the effort to look and feel better.
- I just did up my planted tank again! So it is looking great. Best that it has been in a while. The problem is complacency tends to set in after a few weeks. I start to change the water irregularly, neglect to prune the plants and conveniently forget to clear the debris that forms a layer at the bottom. Soon algae starts to overcome the flora and I have to get rid of it. The tank starts to smell and look awful. So I have got to at least take a few minutes a day to do tank maintainance.
- Communion. Daily. Do it.
- Read the Bible more regularly.
- Check Sunny under the hood at least once a week. Check battery water, oil levels, radiator fluids, coolants etc. And not having to wait until something goes wrong to do something about it.
- Make a vain attempt to eat healthy. Agnes is right,I should be careful what I put into my body.
- Get a job that I love. I do not really enjoy what I am doing now. It is just a job to me. A way to keep the income flow..well...flowing. My calling in life is to serve others. Especially the young. And that is what I should do. And while I am pursuing that, get some formal training in the relevant fields.
- Take up courses in things that interest me. Get involved in the community. Love nature, animals and taking photographs. Might as well put these interests to good use. Take a photography course for example. Or go on overseas trekking expeditions. Stuff like that.
- An old favourite: Learn to play the guitar.
- Another old favourite: Clean my room.
- Be nicer to Agnes. Seems like I tend to vent my frustrations at stuff other people do on my poor darling. Agnes is an innocent victim.Ok, maybe a not-so-innocent victim. But the fact remains I should separate my problems from her and not make her an easy target for my conflicts at work or at home. She tries her very best to understand me and my train of thought. Not that it is ever easy to understand.
- Marry Agnes. Have lots of kids. Live in a big house on a hill. Milk cows all day.
- Just thought I throw in the previous entry just for kicks.
- Love my family more. Seems that I do not spend as much time with them as I used to. I just do my own thing everyday. It has become almost a routine to head straight to my room once I get home each day. And I only come out of my if I have to go to the loo or eat my dinner.
- Get my smile back.
- Let go of my anger.Let go of my hate. Let go of my disappointments. Life is good now. Act like it.
- Keep my friends close.
- My enemies even more so.
- Become King of the World!!!
