Two movies I really wanna catch now:

King Kong
Maybe I am a victim of the hype.ButI am just captivated by the posters all about town. You know, the one with Kong on one side and a t-rex on the other with our hapless heroine. The trailers are not bad either. It helps that King Kong is a cinematic icon and Peter Jackson did such a great job in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I guess that is all I need to be compelled to watch.

Finally an epic saga consistent with my beliefs. The reason I did not watch the Lord of the Rings or any of the Harry Potter films despite being such a movie buff was because they contained characters and storylines that in many ways contradicted my religious inclinations. So I made a conscious decision not to watch either franchise. Although I have watched parts of the films when they were shown on tv and recently caught the Goblet of Fire. A little extreme you might say. Well... you sleep in the bed you make.

Planning to go on a short trip up north on leave next week. The plan is to go up to Bukit Tinggi and then KL. Gonna visit Batu Caves and Zoo Negara among others. Other places I will be going include Colmar Tropicale, Japanese Village & Rabbit Park.

Although I may not even go. Am thinking to stay back and maybe help drive Agnes around as she prepares for the new school year.

Will decide over the next couple of days.

WORLD CUP

The draw for World Cup groupings were done on Friday.
England look good to go through a relatively 'easy' group.
Hope the Lions bring back the cup. 36 years is way too long to wait for another cup.

Thinking about getting a laptop. The I have my eye on costs $2699. A tidy bundle to say the least. The alternative to purchasing a new lappy is to get my current desktop pc(s)/ancient laptop repaired. Besides upgrading the the hardware and re-formatting the hard drive, who know what else the current setup needs.
