Elektra
After work gave good ole Uncle Ong a lift to Ang Mo Kio where we had dinner. He had mixed rice and I had a mixed pork rice. It has been a while since we last hung out together. It is kinda ironic that since I started driving full time that we seem to spend less time together than when we used to take buses and MRT's to our various eating spots. I guess he leaves the office at least a good half hour before me everyday and that neither one of us prepostions the other for dinner. I think his new favourite must be Yew Kwang. They had been having clandestine lunches together. *guffaw*
After dinner I took my leave of Uncle Ong and wandered Ang Mo Kio Central before heading to Jubilee where I bought a ticket to see Elektra for the 7.30 show.
Elektra was ok, if a little let down by the script. It coulda been so much more.Elektra was the coolest thing about Daredevil. But in Elektra the character is reduced to a caricature of all those kung fu/shaolin temple movies we all know. There is the blind, wise shifu who coaches the title character in the ways of good and the evil corporation of the dark arts called strangely The Hand. The fight scenes were ok if a little overdone. All in all a movie that coulda been cool but ended up tasting like cold leftovers.
Jennifer Garner did the best(or is it worst?) she could in the role.Of course I am biased and totally subjective in my opinion here. She can do little wrong in my eyes . :P
*takes a cold shower*
