the sting is in the tail?
I AM BACKKK!
It has been 22 days since I lst blogged. In the beginning it was kinda hard to not blog, but as the days turned into weeks it became easier. For a moment there I even contemplated discontinuing this blog. But that moment passed and here I am again.
First thing you may have noticed is the new title and header. That together with the new background. I am looking to revamp the site and move away from the lion-motif and the present incarnation is of the Scorpio (my star sign). Looks kinda cheesy and cheena even as it looks now. Things will get better before they get worse that is for sure. Other than that everything is as it was before my hiatus. For now...
UPDATES
**********
Lotsa been going on since I was last here. I may have forgotten by now some of the 'significant' events of the last 3 weeks so pardon me if I am scanty on the details.
First some sad news. Camou passed on on the 24 of August. His physical ailments finally caught up with him and he passed away peacefully at approx. 11.50 pm. He was not yet even 2 years old. Miss him so much even now. The night he died our house was like a mortuary. maybe that is the wrong analogy, since morgues are generally quiet. Everyone was so downcast and crying so freely. Even my dad, who is the strong silent type, broke down in spectacular style. In the end it was up to me to make the final arrangements for Camou as I was the only one not in disarray. Even Agnes was badly affected in faraway Bedok South when I broke the news to her. In his own way ole Cam's was a big part of all our lives. After all we been through it makes it that much harder to say goodbye...
On a lighter note Hasli finally took the plunge and got married. Will post the pictures from that in due time. He is now on honeymoon as I write this. Yew Kwang and I played a part in the festivities together with our significant others.
Just came back today from Batam with my dearie. I can say this was our best overseas trip thus far as we were able to spend lots of time together . We were able to catch most of the sights (of which there are not many on the island anyway) and take some pictures. The only downside to it all was how we were royally screwed by our taxi driver and made to pay a hundred bucks for his services over 2 days. But admittedly he did a good job and was helpful and knowledgeable. And we did get back to our hotel safely which is something money cannot buy.
Ohh... and Yew Kwang and Lyn and getting hitched as well in October! Agnes and I are invited to a couple of the few fortunate enough to be there to witness it.
Agnes's dad is out of the hospital but still has to undergo routine dialysis.
In the world: seems like an apocalypse. Mother Nature is really baring her teeth on the hapless citizens of the planet. And I get the feeling the worst isn't over yet.
Amazing. That is what I can say about all my loyal readers who still visit my site each and every day even though I have not posted a thing for over 3 weeks. You are the reason I blog ...
Agnes and I been taking guitar classes at Siglap CC last few weeks. It is already week 4 as of this posting. It has been a bitch on the fingers and the teacher is a kook. But you can't have it all. 4 classes down, 4 to go..
Been having some problems with my lips the last few days. There are all swelled up and some of the skin round about the edges are peeling. Probably an allergy to something. Nothing drinking lots of water can't cure.
Bought some fish for the tank in my room. But as it turned out ALL the Mollies and Guppies died. The Corydoras though are doing quite well. No idea what happened to the shrimps though. They seemingly just disappeared. The tank looks brighter and cleaner now that most of the 0vergrown foliage has been removed and trimmed.
