in a little while...
been over a month since i last blogged. seems like it gets harder and harder to find reasons to return.I do hope my loyal readers have been patient and not lost interest in my two cents of thoughts. I guess this blog served as an outlet for my thoughts and to document my life. But now that i found Agnes, I have less need of an outlet to vent. She is that wonderful all things said.
what do you do when you see someone say or do something that you think is wrong? do you tell them or do you just mind your own business? and what if after you do decide to advice them, that you get a response that indicate how they are right and you are wrong? Do you then decide to do nothing and leave them to their own devices? or press home your point with the cold, hard facts?
In related news, Agnes joined me for another Hamster Club gathering. It was must smaller crowd this time round and Agnes got bored pretty quick. Kinda sad but I could see it from Agnes's viewpoint. In fact after the last outing I might re-consider going for any more such outings.
I finally got a new home for the 3 female normal winter whites from Mimi's last litter. Now only three sapphire pups remain. How fast they have grown....
Sunny is still overdue for his servicing. Been unable to bring him due to various reasons. Still i dunno when i can do it...
I still have the 2 days off in lieu for my elections duty. I have a 1/2 day off for a saturday worked a couple of weeks back. and now i have been promised a day and a half off for helping with the shifting to our new office. and next week i am working so another half day off is coming my way. And i have no idea how and when i can clear all of that, especially within this month with all my colleagues on off and leave too. Not to mention i have still yet to touch my annual leave.
I love television series in which the dialogue is full of pop references and witty repartee. I guess Sex & The City falls into that category. All the sleaze and baser subject matter aside, what make the show so riveting is how it cuts to the bone and lays bare issues that people can relate to. As much as we try to pretend that sex does not matter, it does.
Today is Father's day and with all my dad's recent health issues you sometimes wonder in the back of your mind if this is the last one we will spend together. Although it is a bit premature to think such thoughts, but I would be a liar to say such thoughts have not crossed my mind.
My greatest fears are to lose someone I love or to be apart from the person I love most. I guess that in no small part explains why I try as hard as possible to be with the one I love. But sometimes it gets frustrating when that someone seems to have other more immediate and pressing concerns other than me. If i had a choice I would be with that one person every moment of every day. A bit obsessive but that is how it is in love sometimes.
World Cup has come around. My bets are on England despite what the skeptics might say. needless to say they have been rather unconvincing in their last 2 displays. But I see that as a good sign. as they are not peaking too early and getting better with each and every match. How about argentina's 6-0 demolition of the previously impenetrable Serbia and Montenegro. An awesome display of the Beautiful Game. I could also swear they were wearing yellow and blue. Italy show promise too with their sound defending and clever counter attacking style. For the most part, most of the teams have played well enough to show they are not in germany just to make up the numbers. Besides the Spain and Argentina matches most of the other matches have been rather close affairs, with some only decided in the last 10 minutes. So we can expect a few more upsets on our way to the 9th of July.
