The Equinox
Equinox is seventy floors up, with the city sprawled below, you'll wonder what brought you - the view or the food. Fortunately, the answer is both. Tastefully decorated with plush red carpets, hanging Chinese screens and subdued lighting, Equinox is a must-visit. Expect to pay for the spectacular night-time views from this 68th-72nd floor complex housing five Restaurants and Bars.
The stunning 3,700 sq. metre space holds Equinox, the Restaurant, which offers a mix of Asian Cuisine and Western Cuisine. Jaan entices with French-Cambodian flavours. A sushi station beckons at the New Asia Bar + Grill. Those with even deeper pockets can savor premium Iranian Caviar at City Space.
The Food is not extraordinary - though the grilled beef tenderloin (S$45) and poached chicken with herbs (S$34) are recommended - but the friendly staff and the view definitely make it a must-see. Exclusive private dining areas are available too. Retire for a drink at the New Asia Bar afterwards.
EQUINOX RESTAURANT
Equinox Restaurant features a unique food concept, offering guests a choice of pure Western or pure Asian cuisine. Multiple menu choices provide patrons with the opportunity to enjoy varied and multi-dimensional culinary experiences, making even the most informal of occasions truly special.
JAAN
Named after the ancient Sanskrit word for 'bowl', JAAN serves seasonal, modern French cuisine.
Picture this: a stunning Murano crystal and silver free-form chandelier covers the ceiling, creating dazzling images and colours that sparkle and shine, complemented by a breathtaking view of the ocean and neighbouring countries.
The entire ceiling of JAAN is covered with angled, triangular panels of wave-textured glass. Lit from within as well as offset by accent lighting, with more than 500 light sources, it creates a starburst effect. To match this awe-inspiring scene are chairs draped in hand-woven silk, which vary in colour from season to season, just like the menu.
CITY SPACE
This sophisticated city bar, with stunning views of tropical sunsets over the bustling city below, is located just off the arrival foyer.
This intimate lounge bar provides a luxurious, club-like atmosphere for a discerning clientele. The mood is enriched by a pianist accompanied by vocals. Its selection of prestige spirits, wines and cigars is complemented by excellent delicacies to be savoured, including Raffles International Private Label Iranian caviar.
The ceiling comes alive with a galaxy of suspended crystal spheres, creating a continually changing spectrum of colours and lights.
NEW ASIA BAR
This two-storey bar is the 'hottest' drinking and dining place in Singapore, complete with the latest music spun by the house DJ. The look is highly 'charged', distinguished by its liberal use of vibrant, saturated colour, non-conventional furnishings and floors slanting 20 degrees to spectacular perimeter views.
There are three main drinking bars offering the latest martinis and cocktails, as well as a wide range of international drinks.
Above the sounds of New Asia and overlooking the action below is the exclusive Club 72, offering the finest of prestige. At the highest point of the Equinox Complex, Level 72 offers incomparable views of Singapore and beyond that are sure to appeal to the most discerning clientele.
