A computer ballot will be conducted to determine the queue positions of eligible applicants. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the balloting by mid May 07.
Shortlisted applicants can expect to book their flats around Jun/Jul 07. The option fee is $500 for a 2-room flat, $1,000 for 3-room and $2,000 for 4- or 5-room flat. This fee is payable upon booking of the flat and can be by cash/cheque/NETS.
The CPF Housing Grant is a housing subsidy to assist primarily first-timer citizen married couples to buy a resale flat from the open market. The grant can be used for the initial downpayment of to reduce the housing loan quantum for purchase of the resale flat.
APPLY FOR HDB LOAN ELIGIBILITY (HLE)
Please ensure that you have the following documents/information with you before filling up the online form:
-Identity Cards/Passports/Social Visit Pass of applicants/occupiers
-Proof of Income e.g. Payslips, Notice of Assessment from IRAS based on the income guidelines for applicants/occupiers
-Name and address of employers for employed applicants
-Details of ownership of private property (if applicable)
-Number of HDB concessionary loan(s) taken by applicants/occupiers
-Details of financial commitments such as car loan, renovation loan etc.
From 1 Jan 2007, HDB will require all potential flat buyers and transferees who wish to get an HDB concessionary loan to first obtain an HDB Loan Eligibility (HLE) letter. The validity period of the HDB Loan Eligibility (HLE) is 3 months from the date of approval.
Select Flat
If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to book a flat. If your queue number exceeds the number of flats offered for booking, your chances of selecting a flat will depend on the availability and ethnic quota when your turn is due.
(An option fee by cash, cheque or NETS. The booking fee will be refunded if you have sufficient money in your CPF Ordinary Account to pay the downpayment.)
Sign Agreement For Lease
You will be invited to sign the Agreement for Lease within 3 months from the date of booking of the new flat.
you must submit a valid HDB Loan Eligibility (HLE) letter if you are obtaining a housing loan from HDB.

Collect flat keys
If you have selected a completed flat, i.e. flat already built, you will be invited to collect the keys to the new flat within 3 months from the date of booking of the new flat.
(- Balance the purchase price of the flat booked, by Cash or CPF or a combination of both.
- If you are eligible for an HDB concessionary rate loan, you may be given a loan up to the housing loan ceiling, subject to full usage of funds from your CPF Ordinary Account and credit assessment.
- If you intend to pay the monthly instalments partially or fully by cash, you will have to submit a completed GIRO application form before we grant you a loan. If we did not receive the completed GIRO application form on and before the appointment for keys collection, we may withdraw the letter of offer and you will have to find alternative financing for the purchase.)
Since 19 July 2005, the downpayment is reduced from 20% to 10% of the purchase price of the flat. The housing loan ceiling is raised from 80% to 90% of the purchase price of the flat. The revised downpayment and housing loan ceiling will apply to applicants who have selected a flat on or after 19 July 2005.
Fiance/Fiancee Scheme
Courting couples who intend to get married may apply under the Fiance/Fiancee scheme. You must produce your Marriage Certificate at the estimated Delivery Possession Date of the flat or 3 months after you have taken possession of the new flat, whichever is later.
If you solemnised your marriage before you take possession of your flat, you will have to submit a copy of your marriage certificate to our Sales Office.
If you solemnised your marriage after you have taken possession of the new flat, you will have to submit a copy of your Marriage Certificate to the HDB Branch Office managing your flat.

yeah punggol treetops is nice. oni thing is that we want to be near agnes folks who live in bedok tats y we went for the flat in bedok. otherwise punggol was a good choice that we cld have considered at the time.

I like the treetops too. But I MUST stay near my mother. Cannot bear to stay so far away from her. I'm still a mummy ger!! :-)Besides, I know bedok inside out. So convenient for me to get to anyway. are you guys opting for new or resale flats? i tend to prefer resale cuz they're just much much bigger la. my house is so bloody tiny it't not funny. =( but i like the fact that it's new and the neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful.
its one of em en-bloc things. the units up for grabs are the unoccupied ones.
the show flats we viewed are small. hopefully we can turn it into something cosy.

bedok's not that ulu. i mean anywhere compared to boon lay and them jurong extension places or anywhere that needs a Corporation Road Exit is not ulu, trust me.
