I now present to you...Mr and Mrs Boyd...*applause*

I am married as I write this.

Quite a surreal experience I must say. Agnes and myself have not fully come to terms with the enormity of it. We are married. Yet everything is still very much the same, yet different at the same time. I guess after the events of the last few days we have reached a new level connection that was not quite there. Or maybe it is just the 'honeymoon stage' as they call it. But all I want to do right now is to be with Agnes more than anything other single thing. To be together in wedded bliss in every waking hour. And then...even sleeping one.

Now on to the big day itself...
It was an early start for me. I am sure it was pretty much the same for Agnes, as she had to do her hair, get dressed, have her make-up put on et al.

Did not sleep too well as can be expected on a day like this. First order of the day was to collect my jacket from Compass Point. I was rather pre-occupied with the flowers and bouquets. The part that was hard to take was how no one offered to help me carry the stuff in the morning. I guess if I had asked for help, help would have been there for me. But it was our special day, and I would have thought that assistance would be more forthcoming.
By the time I got to the bridal home, I was already flustered and behind schedule. I had planned to be there by about 12pm, but I only managed to reach close to 1. As it was, Agnes was still busy getting prepared. So that delayed us even further.

As my car could only fit 5 people including the diver, something had to give. So the in-laws took a cab, whilst Agnes and her stylist/photographer went with me in the car.

Got there around 1.30. By then some of the guests had already arrived. There was a ceremony ongoing then ,so the guests and us had to wait in the drive-in area. Did I mention it was raining at the time? I consider rain a sign of blessing. Some may differ. After a bit it was finally our turn!

Some of the guests failed to turn up, and the rest resembled something akin to lost sheep. It took a while to get everyone inside and for them to settle down. what a drag. The ceremony went without a hitch. The one thing that took away from the experience though was that there were no microphones or speakers at the garden. A problem made worse by the fact it was raining on the roof of the tent. So many of the guest were blissfully unaware that the ceremony was underway. There were no lack of cameras. The saddest thing of all, Noel was not there. If there was one person (besides my beloved) whom I had wanted to be there, it would have been Noel. But alas he was way too late to make it.Much to my chagrin, the promised videographer was a no-show. Our solemnisation is a once-in-a-lifetime sort event. And there was no one to do a proper video of it. Maybe someday Agnes would find it within herself to forgive the person responsible. All is not lost as Leo and Yew Kwang did take videos (I think). So it only remains to be seen the quality of the footage. As there were a half dozen cameras on site I am sure we will have ample photos of the days events.

After the solemnisation ceremony, it was time for photos! Everyone and anyone got their shots in.

Then the entire entourage made their way over to the Dome Cafe at Singapore Art Museum. Being that SAM also happens to be my old school building, gave the occasion that much more significance. We had initially booked the place from 3.30 pm to round about 6.30. But the entire party had arrived before 3, so we started early. The food was great. So far I have received no complaints. After everyone had had their fill, everyone took the opportunity to chat over eta. By 5 most had left. Until there was just Wee Ling, yenling, agnes, me and... the stylist girl.

We then took some pictures round about the SAM building. By then I was too tired to be any good in the picture taking part. All I wanted to do was to rest and have some time alone with my dar.But then the first course of action was to go home (Bedok) as the stylist girl had left her phone behind at Agnes place.

Sent the girl home and then headed back to Bedok.

We hung around for a bit before I was restless, so we headed out to East Coast park where we checked out some new garden they had there. Then we drove over to Tanjong Rhu where we finally got a chance to really sit down and chat, and actually contemplate what had transpired that day. And actually enjoy one another's company for the first time that day.

Then sent my wife home.
