On Tuesday and Wednesday I had a defensive driving course at Bukit batok driving centre. It was fun doing all sorts of crazy things with a car. We did emergency braking,slaloms, skidding and all. Even more surprising was how all the old men, everyone was above 50 except me, became like boys once in the cars. They drove like it was the 60's all over again. Only thing missing was the brycream-ed hair and kari-pop hair.
Sunny gave me some problems lately. First off the In-vehicle Unit(or I.U. for short) was giving me problems. I was unable to put in my cashcards for some reason so it had to be changed. I even tried to go early on wednesday(before my driving course) to get it done at the Vicom at Bukit Batok. In the end I had to go to the workshops at Bukit Merah to get it done.
Costs: $152.00
Sunny's steering has been tight lately too. In the end I brought it down to the Shell station near my house to get it done. As it turned out the pipe sysytem was leaking and had to be replaced completely. My front tires were also badly worn and the rear ones were also due for a change. So I had to change my tires and get the pipe system replaced.
Costs: $350.00 for steering system + $50.00++ for each tyre= ~$600.00
I also like to welcome 2 new addtion to my menagerie of animals. This time I acquired two Campbell's hamsters. I got them from the Thomson Aquapets for $16 for a pair. It seems the female is preggie and may give birth anytime.The female is much bigger than the male. I housed them both in my tank that was previously used to house my lobsters/crayfish. The lone lobster now resides in a bucket!
Since I got them I have been constantly tinkering with the setup of their enclosure and buying stuff to put in there.
You can see the contrast in size here

Hamsters are such fun. Really enjoy watching them running around in their tank. They love to sleep too! I am like the anxious father awaiting the delivery of my kid(s) as I keep looking in at whether Mimi has given birth yet. Hamsters are hyperactive and curious by nature. So I have to provide toys for them to keep active both physically and mentally. Something which I relish doing.
Hasli is going over to Pasir Panjang in April. And Lyn will be learning the ropes over at HQ and PPWC respectively. Gonna miss them both while they are away.
