little foxes spoil the vine

I am back!!

Updates

The 4 hammie pups are growing big and fast. They look almost like mini versions of their dad now. In a matter of days I should be able to handle them to clean our their tank. Momo has been in a foul mood recently and has taken to biting everyone including Spike, Buffy,Angel,Spike...Me...and Mimi! No idea what has gotten into him . Will not put him back together with Mimi until the pups are fully weaned. Agnes suggested we get a new bigger tank to house the 'happy' family...

Finally managed to get my hands on the new LIVE cd. The Jewel one though is seemingly still not in stores.

The fish are doing well. Problem is they are on prime real estate. The tank they are in is really good for the hamsters. I may have to consider moving them to a smaller tank and then letting the hammies move in. But the thing is they are doing so...well...now... dunno if they will do as well in a new, smaller tank.

Watched 2 movies recently: Eight Below and Hostel

Reviews:
Eight Below
A story of eight sled dogs(Maya,Max,Old Jack,Buck,Shorty,Dewey,Shadow and Truman) who get left behind during an ice storm. For nearly 7 months they are left to their own devices to fend for themselves against the elements and all the dangers of the Antarctican tundras. In a way it has all the elements of a human drama only this time all the protagonists are dogs. The dogs learn to survive the harsh environment alone with only each other. Maya, the lead sled dog, displays exemplary leadership but gets hurt by a leopard seal and has to abdicate her place as the Alpha dog to Max, the pup of the group, who slowly assumes responsibility and his place. There is an incidental sub-plot of their human owner who tries all means and ways to get back to his dogs. It says something when the dogs show greater depth and character than the human cast. A thoroughly enjoyable movie for the whole family. A film sure to bring about the whole spectrum of emotion, hope and even a tear or two along the way.

Rating: 4 paws out of 5

Hostel
A movie about sex and violence. 2 backpackers on their way around europe pick up a norwegian dude on holiday. Together the 3 of them go from country to contry seeing the sights and hoping to get laid. They hear about a place where all their hedonistic dreams will come true. As with all such adventures things go awry and they bite off more than they could chew. It turns out that they have fallen into a grand scheme where if you are willing to pay, you can do what whatever you like to another human being. What ensues is a whole lot of blood and gore, with some gratuitious sex scenes just to spice things up. Not a film for the weak hearted and meek that is for sure.

Rating: 3 severed fingers out of 5

I was gonna write a piece on the wisdom of God and Agnes and mine marriage preparations but that will probably be included in my next few entries. Some things need more time than others.
