Johore Bahru with my colleagues
Today went to JB with my colleagues. The main intention was to eat,eat and eat with a little shopping along the way.
I went to pick up Hasli before heading to the office to meet the rest of the gang. Hasli,Cheng, Ai Khim, Esoof, Sin and...Mrs Soh went. The drive into JB was rather smooth. We were supposed to meet by the sea where we had met on previous such trips but seeing they were not there when we got there I drove on until Danga Bay. Both cars finally met up and we headed to a place outside the city where Esoof picked up some 'supplies' as Cheng visited the hardware shop to buy some glue and get a set of keys made.
After that was said and done, we drove over to Perling and had a late lunch at the Orang Asli fishing village. Was a good meal which came up to only 120 ringgit for 7 persons. Which works out to S$8/- per person. Wow!
After dinner...I mean lunch... we headed to KIP Mart Tampoi. There they had a good time buying fruits and vegetables from the stalls there. Pretty good deals to be had there. After all that shopping, we all settled down for a durian feast courtesy of Mr Cheng. *burp*
Then all the spoils were loaded into the car and we crossed over for more makan at Hamid Corner Restaurant(cant quite remember if the name is correct). We all had teh halias and stuff. Me and Hasli shared a Nasi Goreng Laka Laka, which consisted of fried rice and nice juicy chicken bits, which the other also took a taste of. The others shared a naan set. Was another good meal.*burp burp* We all resolved to visit the place again in the near future.
Then Esoof took his leave as his daughter was coming to stay with him over the weekend. The rest packed like sardines into Sunny and I headed to the causeway. I dropped Cheng, Sin, Ai Khim and Mrs Soh at City Plaza before Hasli and I headed towards the customs checkpoint a little way off.
Once in Singapore Hasli and I recced Admiralty Road East for 'a good fishing spot'. I then sent hasli home and finally I was home sweet home.
