:) Random Thoughts from a sleep deprived patient

Woo-hoooo!! Lyn passed her driving test. She generously bought sugar cane juice for one and all. And a dinner treat as well?....heh heh...

Noel and I are probably going to Bali this CNY holiday weekend. Will be a great chance to just chill out and relax. Never actually been to Bali but heard so many wonderful things about the Island of the Gods. Looking forward to going. Accomodations: Hard Rock Hotel Bali!!

Seems like Khim has to the realization of what life will be like after I go. She seems unusually nice to me and has 'hinted' to me to reconsider my decision whenever we discuss my work review. But I still think that it is the right thing. AVA has little more to offer me at this juncture.....

Next holiday destination:
Angsana Resort & Spa Bintan!

Angsana Resort & Spa was created to be a sanctuary for the inner self. To refresh, to
rejuvenate your spirit as well as your physical being. The Angsana Spa shares the same philosophy of a holistic, non-clinical spa experience which uses aromatherapy and sense of touch. Overlooking the stunning view of the South China Sea, all rooms and suites at Angsana Resort & Spa Bintan are stylishly enhanced with a rich Balinese flavour. Step into the colourful, charming world of Angsana Gallery, a lifestyle shop bringing you gifts and souvenirs with a contemporary feel and spa amenities that will bring back pleasant memories of your stay at the Angsana. From fashion apparel and home furnishings to jewellery and accessories, the Angsana Gallery offers you a myriad remembrances of your time at the Angsana, a time for 'sensing the moment'.

Today is day 1 of Leon's fitness programme. Been a while since I last did anything remotely physical. Worked up a sweat just looking for the weights set...

Still deciding what to do with the fish tank in my room. A planted tank again? Or a Discus tank? What about a marine tank? Maybe all three.... :P

Did a not so great job today when I tried to wash the car myself today. Somehow it did not look the same as when they do it at the car wash. Maybe it has something to do with wrist action. ..I dunno....

Went to Woodlands library with Hasli today after work. Had dinner on the sly. Sly because Faezah and Hasli were supposed to have dinner together but Hasli cheated and actually a bite with me. Funny part was that he later had to go for dinner with Faezah and have to eat AGAIN. Tomorrow gonna ask him how he pulled this one off.....

Think it is time for another hair cut. Not that it is long but just that when it gets a certain length it become hard to manage and I have to apply extra gel just to get it to look neat. And too much gel is not good for the scalp...blah...blah...blah....

Wonder when I can go to the good old zoo again. Been like ages since (but it has only been a few months). Still have not seen the new Elephants of Asia exhibit.

I wonder what Nadia is doing now.

Chinese New Year is next week and it also happens to be Joyce's birthday. What shall I do this year to give her a heart attack?? We shall wait and see....*devious grin*

more random thoughts to follow....

a statement from City Harvest Church :P

I was surfing all my usual sites and found this at www.chc.org.sg. It is about the upcoming Sun's concert.

*******

MEMORANDUM
(January 2-4, 2004)
"And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free."
(Jn. 8:32)

"Lest Satan should take advantage of us;
for we are not ignorant of his devices."
(2 Cor. 2:11)

Sun's coming public concert is NOT a Christian event organized by the Church. Knowing Sun and her professionalism, the CHC Management Board is confident that it is going to be a great show, a time of wholesome family fun. In order to prevent a repeat of last year's unpleasant false charges, we do not want to give critical detractors the occasion to take any more accusatory potshots at us.

As such, the Management Board wants to make it very clear that:

A.
NOT a single dollar is used from the Church's General or Building Funds to organize the event. The concert is put together by Unusual Productions, a secular event company that likes Sun and what she stands for.

B. Like any other concerts, Unusual Productions have found many corporate sponsors. NONE of these sponsors were approached or solicited by the Church.

C. NO ONE in the Church has been forced or pressured to go to the concert, buy CDs or join the fan club.

We are very proud of Sun and her achievements in America, Europe and Asia. We want to start the year right for her and for the Church. Please do pass this message around.

Thank you,

CHC MANAGEMENT BOARD 2003/4

My 2 cents worth: They do not have to justify what they did not do. But knowing Singaporeans criticisms will still come. Rumours will still fly. Accusations will still be made. What to do?? :P
