Open book

Today was kinda an ok day. Nothing went wrong. I was not pissed at anyone or anything.Matter of fact I think I was quite pleasant. :P

Got to work on my SOP for TradeNet. Khim wants it by Thursday. I kinda impressed myself even how good it came out.

Went to a movie with my beloved Lyn,May,Hasli and Poh. Watched Last Samurai. Was a good movie,if a little contrived. Kinda makes me want to go to Japan right now. woooo.....

May again said that thing about Lyn 'stepping on two boats'. I do not think that Lyn is the sort to do something like that. If anything I would say that she is self-sacrificing. I felt kinda hurt when May first said that. Lyn is not the sort ,woman!!!
But I do care deeply about Lyn. And I know that she does too. Sigh.... you can never stop people talking, but you sure can not let what they say affect you.

Tomorrow I am meeting Nadia in town. Not exactly sure where but she will drop me a line to let me know where she is and we will take it from there. Wooo-peee-dooo!!

Hasli returned me my Black Hawk down CD-ROM. Now I can get down to some serious shooting!! Bwaahahahahahaaaa....

I have gotta do something about my room. it is so messy now. And keeps getting messier by the day. I have turned into some kind of slob. I need a woman!! heh heh
Speaking of women, Lyn said something today that kinda got me curious. Somehow the subject of Gloria came up and Lyn mentioned that she finds Gloria a pleasant person,easy to talk to and someone THAT I MIGHT CONSIDER GETTING TO KNOW BETTER. Not that I have never thought of that before. But to hear Lyn,my conscience, say it out loud makes it ...kinda shall we say ...feasible? From what I know Gloria is an all-round nice girl. The only reservation I have is that she is catholic.(kekeke...been doing some background research! )

Gonna go down on Thursday to Hougang to get our Bird Flu vaccination. We (namely Khim,Lyn,Jack,Hasli and I ) have been selected to be part of the back-up/support team in case of a bird flu outbreak in Singapore. I think our main responsibility is to cull chickens. Anyone for KFC? We are not supposed to leave the country and be contactable at all times. I hate this bureaucratic bullshit! First they disallow us going on leave and now this. Desperate times call for desperate measures.....

I wonder if Nadia and Lyn can see the pics I posted below. I know that this afternoon none could be viewed.Even Nadia commented so. But now at home it seems fine. Curiouser and curiouser.....

These are some of the pets in my home:


MONK-the eternal kitten. Named presumably because he has a big head.One of the 3 brothers we have. As easy going and as friendly as a cat can be. Rumour has it that he will even befriend a lion.



POISON= the alpha cat.most well built and active. likes darting into rooms when unattended.



NICO= the quiet and assuming one. Sleeps all day. Was once rumoured to be gay but rumours were squashed when other male cats were seen doing the unmentionable and Nico just stood there and did not join in the party. Somehow has a different colour from his siblings.hmmm...



Camou= The newest addition to the Boyd home. Claims to be a chihuahua.But seems more like a kangaroo. Jumps up and down to get attention. Bites anything that moves and a few others that do not. Has an attitude that belies his size.Can be seen jumping upon and biting cats much bigger than himself. Luckily the cats are all good natured.

The day after the CNY long weekend

Oh man. Was so tired today. Did not feel like going to work but had to. Must be all the late nights over the past few days. Serves me right.

I have left the publication ministry of my church magazine. I just feel that I do not have the time nor the motivation to continue. I guess my problem is the research part. They have very stringent guidelines so you really have to do your homework. And the editorial team is top notch.So even if you have the required research and have a great angle you still have to produce a great article. So 3 or 4 re-writes is not uncommon. I think I am unable to commit as much time to the ministry as they would like so it is in the best interests of all parties that I go. However I will look for another ministry to serve in in due time.

My mum and dad had a heart to heart talk with me last night. I guess they know that I have been through a wringer lately and am the worse for wear. At least we talked things through and avenues were created to solve my various problems. I am so blessed!

When I came home today mum and dad had some 'news' for me. Apparently the onrunning feud with our neighbour has come to a boil and the police were called in. Things are gonna get messy here at The Cornelia. Only thing we lack now are spotlights and video cams.Wait a minute...there are spotlights and videocams!! Gosh...

This week seems to be a busy one by my standards.

I am going to watch a movie with colleagues tomorrow (hopefully..).
Movie: the one I wanna watch THE LAST SAMURAI!!!!

Wednesday: finally gonna meet my beloved Nadia after what seems like ages.No definite plans yet where to go. But we did set the date and time which is a start...

Thursday: Dim Sum time!! Been wanting to try the new dim sum place at Paragon.Was having their D&D the last time we went there. Rotten luck! But there is no denying me this time.

Friday: Bible Study at The Rock. Perhaps Joyce and I can squeeze in dinner at The Rice Table before. Yum yum!

Saturday: Can be considered mild by comparision. Working in the morning. Thinking of going to Sungei Buloh Nature Park in the afternoon if the weather holds. Wonder if my beloved Lyn wants to join me? I promised her a while back to bring her there but have yet to keep my word.

Sunday: Off to Bintan!!Staying at the Angsana Resort and Spa. Gonna get pampered and waited upon....ahhh...bliss....

Monday: Back in Singapore in the afternoon.
