dream a little dream of me

Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper I love you
Birds singin’ in the sycamore trees
Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you’ll miss me
While I’m alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I’m longin’ to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

(instrumental break)

Stars shining up above you
Night breezes seem to whisper I love you
Birds singin’ in the sycamore trees
Dream a little dream of me

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

Yes, dream a little dream of me

The Season Finale of Leon & Joyce (not!)

People have been asking me lately if me and Joyce-meister are back together again. Reasons for this insatiable curiosity range from the movie we went to together, having lunch together, dinner together and all the other stuff we both seem to be doing together especially lately. I guess that is the question on everyone's mind lately. Many people cannot believe that it is over between the 2 of us.

I admit that we have been keeping in touch a bit more than a couple who had their wedding cancelled and are no longer seeing each other would do. In my not-so-expert opinion Joyce and I are going through a transitional stage where the both of us are finding the strength to be apart in each other. Hahahaaa...sounds kinda wacky...i know....but it seems that the most supportive person to her in these trying times....is....ME. And for my part I do feel kinda restless being without Joyce even after all we went through. An 8 year relationship can do that to a person!

We did go watch a date/chick movie recently 'Love Actually' together. We met for lunch today (an extended lunch at that!). We have had dinner on more than one occasion. I went over to her place on Tuesday. Got re-aquainted wif her Mum, who was so happy to see me, and her bro who tapped into my inconsiderable tie tieing expertise. We both plan to drive into JB this weekend....

Based on the above it may seem that we are back together. I do not rule out that possibility in the future, but as of right now....NO...we are not together. But we sure make good friends......I wonder if Joyce can prove or disprove her theory that a guy and a gal can never be just platonic friends in a close relationship.

Rest assured that I will definitely inform you all of any plot twists or dramatic endings in this soap opera......just check into these pages regularly....

Suggestions for Christmas Prezzies

Hello, culture vultures!

No doubt you're now agonizing over your Christmas shopping.

Well, I have a marvelous suggestion for you.

Why not give some art to your loved ones this Christmas?

I know what you're thinking: isn't art terribly expensive?

Well, duckies, I'm not suggesting you go out and buy anything.

To purchase an artistic piece would render it a mere commodity.

Rather, I'm suggesting that you create your own artwork!

Again, you must be thinking: but I'm not an artist!

Wrong again! We all have some art inside of us... it's just a matter of letting it out.

And almost anything can constitute art.

The real trick is to cook up a 'cheem' sounding explanation for it. For 'tis the 'cheem'-ness of the justification that makes it art.

It's what distinguishes the work of Jackson Pollock from someone who's just dripping random bits of paint onto paper.

So here are some ideas:

1. Take an old fish. Wrap it tightly in past editions of the Straits Times. Put a nice label on it which says, "Stale News". Ta-dah! Art.

2. Find some old cloth scraps and sew yourself a tiny straightjacket. Place the straightjacket round a bottle of Bovril. Place a label on it which says, "Mad Cow Disease". See? More art!

3. Locate an old garbage can. Paint a nasty, bloodthirsty face on it. Call it "Killer Litter". Get it?

4. Take an empty glass bottle. Make a red marking somewhere near the middle of the bottle. Above the mark, write "Pass". Below the mark, write "Fail". Then call it "Air-Level". Aren't I a genius?

5. Fill a plastic cup with your own urine. Splash it on your neighbour's door. When he prosecutes you with his security camera footage, tell him it's piece of performance art which you call "Pissing Off Your Neighbour". Wish him a very merry Christmas.

See? It's all really easy, and cheap too.

The best part of doing this is that next year you'll spend even less on Christmas presents.

This is because you'll have no more friends left.

But hey, you can't have everything.

life in the shadows...

Just bought a new phone. A Zircon Z3. Still trying to figure out some of the features and set up the HotSync and stuff.

Went and watched Love Actually yesterday. great movie....a movie to go to with the One you love...

Kinda disappointed that the crabbing session was cancelled due to light drizzle. But we are going next weekend! Yippie....not that I am gonna be doing any actual crabbing but rather cos I get to spend time with my favourite people (person?).

Ten came back to the office today. looks like he finally found a job that suits him (he has no qualms yet..a good start). He looked kinda haggard and sun burnt when he was at NParks. But as usual, he still looking for financial 'lobangs' to exploit . :P

Forgot to go buy the lion(s) we saw at Marina Square. Hopefully it is still there when I go next....

a hypothetical: What would I do or say if someone wanted to go out alone with my girlfriend?

Ans: Hmmm.....

Just got a 'report from Joyce over In KL that she had some..errrmm.....'transportational difficulties'. What happened is that they had booked tickets for the coach back to Singapore today but the coach company apparently had no seats reserved for them. I was listening to Joyce and the man from the company arguing on the phone. Sometimes you would think Joyce has more balls than most men. Damn fierce. So the guy eventually agreed to let them sit at the 'side counter'. I am not actually sure what that is but I am assuming that a 'side counter' is that area where people dun sit on in coaches especially when on a 7 hr journey! Bon voyage!

Still trying to figure out Joyce and mine relationship.....

Spongebob Squarepants!!

So strange, so unique, so...uh...spongy. Deep down in the Pacific Ocean in the subterranean city of Bikini Bottom lives a square yellow sea sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, loves his job as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab, and has a knack for getting into all kinds of trouble without really trying. When he's not getting on the nerves of his cranky next door neighbor Squidward, SpongeBob can usually be found smack in the middle of all sorts of strange situations with his best buddy, the simple yet lovable starfish, Patrick, or his thrill-seeking surfer-girl squirrel pal, Sandy Cheeks. In Bikini Bottom, fish walk, blowing bubbles is art, and the tastiest undersea treat is a deep-fried Krabby Patty Burger. Dive in and soak it all up with SpongeBob!
