...everybody's dreaming of a summer holiday...la...la...la...

Drove up to office to meet the guys. We were gonna go to JB. Hasli was looking for some CD-Rom games as usual. It was about time we brought him up north to holiday plaza to check out the games there.

But first the issue of growling tummies had to be addressed. Poh went to fetch Lyn from Khatib MRT as Hasli and I headed to A&A for lunch. After a bit the 2 lovebirds finally came along to join us there.

Against my better judgement I ordered nasi goreng which was rather spicy. I been having a mouth ulcer the last few days which plays havoc with my eating patterns. To further accentuate my pain, I been eating lots of spicy and hot food over the last few days which upset my stomach as well as almost drives me to tears. I dun seem able to eat as much as I normally do in my state. Hence there was some leftovers of my nasi goreng as it was the day prior with my nasi briyani.
Having filled our belly's, me and hasli drove to Sembawang to Joyce's place to pick up my passport which had been mistakenly taken by Joyce's mum. I had in my possession her passport. What a joke it would have been if I had not found out earlier and attempted to enter Malaysia.

Poh and Lyn went to top up petrol.

Both parties then met up at Sembawang MRT before going to the causeway via Admiralty and Woodlands Centre.
Being that it was Saturday and nearly 3 pm a huge jam had already developed and we were caught up in the middle of it.Too like forever just to get to the Singapore side let alone across the straits.

To make matters worse, once across I lost my bearings and overshot the turning to Holiday Plaza and went up the highway almost to Pasir Gudang! I had to get Hasli to refer to the directory and get me back on track. By the time we got there the car park was full and had to park at the adjourning hotel. Poh and Lyn were waiting patiently at the Mac's eating. Me and Hasli soon followed suit before heading our seperate ways (me and hasli/lyn and poh) to do some shopping. Met back again at 6.

We then made plans to go to the duty free zone at Laut Stulang. I was not sure how to get there from Holiday Plaza so we once again consulted the ever trusty tome known as The Directory.

We managed to get to The Zon without any event. There we went about the departmental store and supermarket getting stuff. After the shopping was done we went out to the shophouses leading up The Zon. Poh was waxing lyrical about the rojak there. He bought that as well as some Ramly burgers for the 3 of them and Lyn wanted a Pisang Rajah (i think) for some reason. Sometimes the mind wanders..sometimes it wonders...

The it was back home for the weary travellers. Somehow the road leading back to Singapore was tarped off and we had to go around and make a turn to get back to Customs. As expected it was jammed and another long stop-go situation ensued.

Back in Singapore Hasli joined me for fried rice at the food centre near his place before I sent home with all his stuff...

fish and fannies on friday

Was on half day today(enforced leave),but came back in the evening to pick up Cheng, Sin and Hasli. We were gonna go to the Kenny Roger's at Suntec to celebrate Sin's birthday. We all ordered the same thing, only with different side dishes.

After our meal we went upstairs to the convention centre to check out the food fair going on there. I remember me and Lyn going to something similar last year. That was why when I was there I SMS'ed her about it. Lyn later joined us with her friend whom she had met earlier. Her friend did not say much to any of us, so Lyn and her scampered off to do their girl stuff. Lyn even shared mushroom with her friend instead of me. *miffed*

Me and Hasli soon went up to the pet show to check out the guppy exhibits (and incidentally all the other 95% of the show).Me not a guppy fanatic so I fail to see the fascination Lyn,Poh and Hasli have. Although I do think guppies are really beautiful I do not have it down to a science like these guys do.What with shape of tails, colourations and parentage. These guys really take guppy keeping seriously...

As for me I wandered around the hall looking at REAL animal stuff. I bought an xmas themed chew toy for Camou in the form of a penguin. I really liked the various live animals. The dogs there were really well groomed and behaved. If only Camou was. The rabbits were cute.So furry and fluffy. Almost looking like white fur balls with long ears. The cats in a cage were great too. I really liked one of the cats I saw. He just sat there and looked around at the weird humans outside his domain. He was still a kitten with all the baby fat and well-roundedness one would expect from a kitten. He just had a look that just made me almost buy him. Thankfully better sense prevailed (read:stinginess).

A while later Poh came along finally after getting jammed at various points leading up Suntec. His journey took over an hour according to his account of it. Lyn joined us even later too.

After doing what we came to do, we then loitered in the atrium a bit before heading for home(or so we thought).

As is the usual practice these days in any shopping area, we were waylaid by 'financial advisers' on the pretense of a lucky dip which lead to a prize which then lead to a 'few moments of your time' and then to a full financial assessment and finally to the agreement to sign up to a savings plan! At least Hasli managed to get away citing his impending marriage and the 'tight financial situation' inherent therein. As for me I finally succumbed to better sense and signed up for the plan which was for my own good. The bad part was Lyn,Poh and Hasli had to wait for me to get it all done. The good part is that I seem to have gotten a date out of it. Or so it seems..Anyway I have not really thought about the ethics side of a financial planner and her client going on dates yet.Or maybe it was all just a ruse to get me to sign up for what she was offering (does not sound as bad as it looks...or is it the other way around?). Anyway it was a good plan which will reap benefits in the long and medium term. Does not matter if the date part does not come to realisation.

After...sent Hasli home. With no goodbye hug or kiss ...I might add...

10 Quick Ideas for Romance

ROMANTIC IDEAS FOR MEN:

1. Draw her a warm bubble bath. Wash her back (& everywhere else). Take your time. Then towel her dry and carry her off to bed.

2. Give her a full body massage without expecting anything in return. You're sure to get your reward the next night!

3. Little things go a long way. Hold her hand, link her arm through yours while you're walking together, place your palm on the small of her back when standing beside her. Those tender gestures won't go unnoticed.

4. Brush her hair at night. This can be very sensual. Be sure to use a brush, not a comb. And don't pull. Be gentle. If you encounter a tangle, hold the hair above the tangle, then work it out.

5. Tell her you love her. Seems obvious, but many men overlook this. Women like to hear it. Often. Make her an audio tape and secretly slip it into the cassette player for her to find.

ROMANTIC IDEAS FOR WOMEN:

1. Do something different. Instead of a massage, graze your nails lightly down his bare back (if you have good nails). It will send shivers of pleasure through his body.

2. Let him pick one fantasy a month for you to fulfill. Make up a list for him to choose from (that way the fantasy will be something that you're not opposed to). Then plan it out as an official "date."

3. Have some sexy (but tasteful) pictures taken and give them to him as a gift. It'll be something unexpected and special--meant for his eyes only.

4. Personally write him an erotic story. He'll see a new and exciting dimension to you after that.

5. Put on some sexy clothes, turn on the music, then slowly strip the clothes off layer by layer while he watches.
