hectic month

Been kinda neglecting tis blog lately. Been so preoccuied with the marriage preparations and the flat stuff. So even when free to blog, I find myself too tired and distracted to blog. I have no idea how I am gonna make it through, but I have to for the sake of our happiness.

Just got in the mail the invitation letter from HDB. We have to go down on the 6th of June to do it. before that we will have to get all our documents in order and apply for our HLE (HDB LOAN ELIGIBILITY). It came a bit sooner than i had expected. Looks like the first couple of weeks of June are gonna be hectic.

We be going down to ROM on the 11th of June to do the needful. Then on the 16th is the solemnisation itself. phew. In between I have to somehow find a suitable venue for the ROM reception. seems like everyone at the office will be in attendance (sans Jack). The issue of the halal food just refuses to go away. We need to come to some sort of compromise...

Possible shortlisted venues:

~ Carousel, Royal Plaza On Scotts ($28.50)
~ Ellenborough Market Café, Swissotel Merchant Court Singapore ($22.90+++)
~ Goodwood Park Hotel ($20.80+++)

Muffy and Scruffy have been separated. Muffy was seen attempting to mount and errmm...nvm.... Scruffy. Scruffy din seem to like it too much. Which resulted in lots of banging and running about in the cage. So they had to be separated. Muffy will need to be altered soon. Followed by Scruffy-girl.

Sunny needs to be serviced soon. I will probably have to hold off till pay day for it. Between now and then I will have to renew Sunny's road tax for another 6 months.

Then we both have to find what to wear on our special day. Agnes is looking for a nice dress. I am looking for a suit. We could buy. or just rent!

The we need to buy the wedding bands!! $$$ again.

sixteenth day of the sixth month

We are now into plans for our solemnisation. We booked the date yesterday. We will be having it at the Acte D'amour Garden. Cost $308 for the package. Then there is the issue of whether or not to have a reception after. The issue is that my side have a number of muslim guests which have to be catered to. But there are no easy solutions unless we cater at a venue yet to be decided. Mum also wants us to have a best man and maid of honour. But we do not. Mum will be taking care of the bridal bouquet.

Muffy is getting rather amorous. A sure sign he has come of age. Will have to send him for alteration. Then send Scruffy soon after...

Gotta go do the road tax for Sunny....

Then go get the wedding bands.

Gotta go down to ROM office on 11th June to settle the paperwork stuff. maybe can bring the folks too.

Still awaiting the news from HDB for our flat. hopefully no clash of dates.

My lappy has no sound now. dunno wats wrong. sigh. if continues then may have to send for servicing. also my wireless connector is buggered. sigh

the water from my aircon floods the airwell. so maybe from now on i shld use it less or maybe do some repairs to the tubes so that it does not leak.

We drew up the list of guest for the ROM. came out to about 35 people.

Blogger now has autosave. I guess that is the end of lost posts and text.
