something that i just feel i should post here...not sure why yet tho....

I don't wanna lose you,
I don't wanna use you
just to have sombody by my side
And I don't wanna hate you
I don't wanna take you
But I don't wanna be the one to cry
That don't really matter to anyone, anymore
But like a fool I keep losing my place
And I keep seeing you walk through that door

But there's a danger in loving somebody too much
And its sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust
There's a reason why people don't stay where they are
Baby sometimes love just ain't enough

Now I could never change you
I don't wanna blame you
Baby you don't have to take the fall
Yes I may have hurt you
But I did not desert you
Maybe I just want to have it all
It makes a sound like thunder
It makes me feel like rain
And like a fool who will never see the truth
I keep thinking something's gonna change

But there's a danger in loving somebody too much
And its sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust
There's a reason why people don't stay where they are
Baby sometimes love just ain't enough

And there's no way home
when it's late at night and you're all alone
Are there things that you wanted to say
Do you feel me beside you in your bed
there beside you where I used to lay

And there's a Danger in Loving somebody too much
And it's sad when you know it's your heart they can't touch
There's a reason why people don't stay who they are
Cause baby sometimes love just ain't enough
Baby sometimes love just ain't enough

07-06-2004

Met Jackie for dinner after work. Went to the airport.Ate at Popeye's at T2.Walked to skytrain.Had ice-cream at Swensen's. Went back to car and drove to East Coast Park. Walked. Went back to car.drove home.hug-hug.home sweet home.

newsflash: May ask Alison out for a movie one of these days.

The Day After Tomorrow....also known as Sunday for all intents and purposes.

Sunday

Was supposed to go to church but it turns out that there were no afternoon services that day. There was only the 9am service at Indoor Stadium. I had totally forgotten about it until Carolyn informed me just as I was about to leave the house. If I had known, I coulda joined Neeven or Rachelle for services at their respective churches or even have made a special effort to make it for the 9am service(the night before not withstanding).

So I was stuck at home with no where to go. I messaged Rachelle and we planned to meet for dinner and a movie later that evening.
I also received an SMS from Lyn (*big grin*). She was apparently at Tampines and feeling bored, and she thought to buzz me.Always a pleasure...*fuzzy feeling*

In the evening I drove up to Buangkok Green to pick up my little lady. She was having her hair done there. It felt so soft after.*purr* We proceeded to Serangoon Gardens for dinner. We ate at the food centre. As usual I had to do double duty when it comes to the food.It is a wonder I do not put on weight.:P
After dinner we took a walk around the shops of the area. Been a while since I last did that.Even longer still for Rachelle. Was nice walk. Will come back again soon thats for sure...

When the time had come for us to go I drove to Great World. We had booked tickets for 'The Day After Tomorrow'. It was a rather good movie. More sizzle than steak, but entertaining nonetheless.I am a mark for CGI and this was the mother of all disaster movies. The plot was full of holes, the premise was a little out there and the acting somewhat stilted. Some of the lines were downright corny! But you do not go to such movies to be enlightened. It was bubblegum moviedom as its most unrefined.
All the while Rachelle was fidgeting in her seat. She was feeling tired from the late night before. That is besides the fact that Rachelle is one hyperactive honey. She kept shifting around her seat. Hahahaa.Little did she realise that the arm rest could be moved up otherwise she could have rested her sweet little head on my shoulders until I told her after the fact.

After the movie..I sent her home.

note: still no sign of the promised goodnight kiss!!*sob* although she did ask me if she 'owed me anything' in reference to the afore mentioned

Lisa Cow and the Nine Stories

Saturday

Worked in the morning. Was a real busy day at the office. In all it was a day when anything that could happen probably did.In the end we left the workplace at about 2 with some stuff yet to be done on Monday.

Rushed down to City Hall to pick up Lisa. She was a real sport to wait for the lumbering lion to turn up in his Sunny. From there the cow-lover and the lion drove to East Coast for a late lunch. It turns out that Lisa goes there every Sunday to roller blade(east coast park not the food centre!).I will join her one of these days that is for sure. After lunch we made our way to Expo for the Computer 2004 thingy. Lisa wanted to get a laptop for her boss. She already knew what she wanted to get and where to get it(the laptop lah), so we spent the rest of our time there walking around picking up brochures as I wanted to get information on digicams and videocams. After it was all said and done we went to the stall where Lisa was gonna buy her laptop(was it a Dell/HP/Compaq booth?). It turns out that hers was the last piece, and by some 'ironic twist of fate' it had some bug that did not allow one to access it without entering the administrative password. So we had the option to either come back the next day when new stock comes in....or come back in "30 to 45 minutes" whilst they reformat the hard drive. We opted, meaning Lisa opted for the latter.And...Lisa likes cows!

In the mean time we just visited the other halls. In one hall was the Metro Sale. We just walked around with little or no intention of buying anything. It ended up that we spent more time in the toy section than anything.Hmmm...a promising start...
We also had a round at the home decoration fair next door.It was kinda fun to imagine up 'our' dream home and plan for our 'wedding'.We could not help breaking up in fits of laughter. It is hard keeping up a straight face when we were approached by the salesmen from the various booths.Did I mention Lisa likes cows?

After much ado we got drinks from the outdoor food court and sat by the Jurassic Park blow-up thingy for kids sipping our drinks till the call came that the laptop was ready for collection (which it wasn't actually).

We ran the gauntlet of brochure givers into the computer hall to the booth.There..there a guy hard at work installing programs and de-buggers for all the worms that exists out there!Really appreciated all the 'extra' effort he was putting in and Lisa likes cows.

After Lisa settled her laptop stuff we drove to Labrador Park! I promised her a sunset like the ones in my pictures but alas it was not as good a day for sunsets as we had hoped. It was nice but nowhere near what I had in my picture collection. But beggars cannot be choosers(which when you think about it is not exactly true,as I have seen beggars actually make choices-i.e. who to beg from, where to sleep, where to wait, what to eat....).We snapped shots of the fading sun which some actually came out quite good.As the sun disappeared, we walked around into the forested part of Labrador Park (which is where the 'park' part of the name comes from...I think).I had been wanting to get up to the canopy platform for a while now but never quite knew how to do it and lacked an able and willing sidekick...till now.Another sign of promise from the bovine hugger...

Up there in the canopy was an even better view of the bay.It is not exactly breathtaking but it did bring to me a new found appreciation of the area around the park. Jurong Island and Pulau Bukom glistened like jewels in the distance. As the shadows got longer, the jetty took on an entire different look from our lofty perch.Digicam time!!

After just lazing around a bit up there and depriving the couple who were there some 'quality time' we made our way down hill the other way from which we had come up, the jungle route I might call it. We poked fun at some of the information signages along the way. Cruised pass the various world war 2 remnants that dot the hill. I am beginning to think Lisa is so cool in the way that she will try anything including walking through a dark deserted park with a creepy dude like me!! Bwaahaahaaa....kudos to the cow sympathiser...

Note: Lisa comes online and says 'hello' as I type this...creepy eh?

When we got to ground level, we made our way to the other side of Labrador Park near to Sentosa where the lighthouse is. After just admiring the view for a bit we sat down where we were standing. We stayed there and talked till it was past 1!! It was the most fun I had in a long time.Long live the cowgirl without a cowgirl hat.

We had supper at the food centre near Lyn's place.I was so very tempted to call Lyn and company down but decided otherwise because it was already nearly 2. We both had porridge.I then drove her home to Bukit Batok. Ordinarily I am quite good with roads, but Bukit Batok is like the Twilight Zone for me. It seems like everytime I go there I get lost or reach the designated spot late. Luckily Lisa (a.k.a. as Cowbell) was spot on with her directions so I got there with time to spare.

Said our goodbyes....then..er....I made my way home.....

I get the feeling this is the beginning of something beautiful...*awww..*
