Tomorrow is the combined Christmas Service at Indoor Stadium. Really looking forward to it, as I do for all combined services. faith and vanessa have not confirmed their attendance although they did seem keen at the time of asking.

On Monday, we be having an office Christmas party. The traditional lunch menu however was screwed up, because no one thought to pre-order. Most places close their orders for christmas favours till about a week before the day. So on the menu is probably more local fare and fast food, like packet drinks, pizza, chicken wings, bee hoon etc.
Still not gone about buying Mrs Soh's gift for the exchange. Will most probably do so tomorrow after the church thing.

On Tuesday we will be having a family dinner cooked courtesy of Ant and Noel. They have already set out the menu. It will be mainly family and a few friends. Agnes may or not be joining us. Sounds pretty good just looking at the menu.

We will probably be going down to the Kia Showroom to take a look at our new car and then decide from there what are our options on Boxing Day. I am on leave that day, so it is a lock to spend an entire day doing stuff. The other day we could go is on the 28th, as that is the day they open until late.
Meanwhile we could also do the cycling thingy we had planned for hari raya haji or go down to NUS to collect Agnes's stuff to bring home. A whole bunch of stuff we could do that day if time allows.

Charcoal is really eating well and putting on a good amount of weight. She probably does not like the food her owner has been feeding her. Besides that Charcoal has not had any place to hide or sleep. She now has a plush 2 storey house to call all her own. And her current wheel is far so small for an animal of her size. So I lent her one of my spare ones to use until she has to go back.

Fluffy is gaining weight as well. Pretty soon he will be able to get his fur mites treatment administered. Tuffy on the other hand is still as skinny as ever, due in no small part to her having to nurse two naughty kits to weaning. And looking at Lollie and Lobang, she has done a mighty fine job at it. Everytime I look at the kits, I wonder what might have been had their other sibling survived. Just a tinge of regret that the other kit did not make it. Otherwise we would have 3 instead of 2 cute little bunnies.

It is that time of year when I itch for a holiday. For one, I been thinking of going on a holiday cruise. But for that we would probably have to rope in other family members to make it worthwhile, as it is cheaper per person for a party of 4 ($199) than for a party of 2 ($470), so it more sense to try to go for the 4 pax deal.
The other place I want to go to but not had to go to despite being to Bangkok on several occasions, is to the Chatuchak Weekend Market. The only other time Agnes and myself been to Bangkok it was primarily for work purposes, hence we did not have much in the way of sightseeing and shopping together.
Chatuchak (or Jatujak; Thai: จตุจักร) weekend market in Bangkok is the largest market in Thailand, and largest of the world. Frequently called J.J., it covers over 35 acres (1.13 km²) and contains upwards of 15,000 stalls. It is estimated that the market receives between 200,000 and 300,000 visitors each day. Most stalls only open on Saturdays and Sundays.

The market offers a wide variety of products including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, collectibles, foods, and live animals.

It may not be feasible to cover everything in one day so we can make it a 2 or 3 day trip.
Due to the danger of floods in malaysia, unrest in KL and the upcoming 'democratic' elections in Thailand, we have to take note of all these when planning our trip, if any.

Think The Noose is one of the better thing on local english TV now. But it probably loses points for originality. The farce news concept has all been done before. Check out Howard and Debbie as they present all the interesting news from around the world.

The big taxi companies raised taxi fares in the hope of encouraging more taxi drivers to pick up passengers and for there to be enough cabs plying the streets during peak hours. But instead the fare hike has caused passengers to avoid cabs like the plague. It seems no one is willing to pay more for the convenience of having more cabs available. In fact the beleaguered cabbies , who have a hard enough time making ends meet, now get fewer fares per day than before the price hike. The solution to all the taxi woes was simply to lower the rental rates. Then there would be more cabs with more people willing to take up the job of being taxi drivers. But instead, it seems the solution to every problem these days is to raise the cost. So passengers stay way, and cabbies stick to their favourite hotspots in the hope of making enough.

tomorrow is a public holiday, hari raya haji, and hopefully my wife and myself will get to spend some much needed time together. The next few weeks is chock full of holidays (christmas and new years as well), so hopefully we will be able to squeeze in some quality time together.

some stuff we could do tomorrow:
- go back to NUS and do work. BOO!!!
- go to Cycle & Carriage to take a look at the Kia. And hopefully place and order.
- cycle at East Coast. not really used our bikes since we bought them.
- go shopping. for Agnes's stuff & Xmas.
- catch a movie. not watched one for ages.
- go Sentosa.
- Scale Bukit Timah Hill.
- Go furniture hunting and look at some of the brochures for our flat
- do nothing and enjoy one anothers company.
- print out Agnes's stuff.

Probably we can do all of the above and more over the next couple of weeks.

Agnes is slowly reaching the finishing point of her thesis. Hopefully she will finish soon and maybe we can spend time away on holiday. Agnes has also expressed a desire to go with her mum on holiday. Hopefully we can work something out. The main bugbear is her dad's dialysis treatment. It makes it hard to go away for any extended period of time. Maybe we can figure something out where me and Agnes take a short holiday, and then she and her mum take a holiday as well.

what the kids want:
Rain=Ponyville
Ah Piu and Stitch= food (?)
Bob= Snail..
Minty= Ponyville??
Eggy= dunno...din ask him..

Apparently my folks and Agnes do not want gifts this year for Christmas. hmm...

went shopping for some new togs. 4 shirts bought.

now babysitting Yvonne's hamster, Charcoal at my place as she is away in New Zealand.

Planning to make a new set of glasses. Transitions lenses probably. Maybe frameless lenses.

Agnes needs to get a new screen protector for her mobile.

Thinking about a new games console but think that has gonna have to wait a bit until our financial situation is a little less hazy.

Hasli is consolidating orders for trekking/hiking shoes. Have a good mind to order one of those. look good and good value for money...

On Christmas Eve is a half day for us. After that we will be having an office party. there will also be a gift exchange also. After drawing lots, I have picked Mrs Soh to buy a present. That is cool by me. Out of the draw there have been a few interesting permutations. gonna be interesting to see what will transpire on the 24th.
Then after that the lot of us guys will be going down to the Serangoon Road area for some heavy duty bonding, or so it seems. Anyway it should be fun. I have no idea what the lot of them have in store to do there but it is all good.

Blockbuster Sunday has come and gone, and Liverpool lost once again to Man U to a Carlos Tevez goal, and Arsenal beat Chelsea at the Emirates. Liverpool once against has flattered to deceive with another low after the highs of their champions league qualification just days before. seems like they can get a consistent run of results if their lives depended on it. And Chelsea lost their 'inspirational' captain John Terry. Poor babies...

The New Years is coming up fast and there are a couple of parties going on about town. Sentosa has their usual shindig which should be good as always. And then there is the big fireworks thing at Marina Bay. Then there is the purile Mediacorp inspired Countdown as there always is. WOO-PEE-DAMN-DOO.

Funny how you have so much to write and then when it comes to the time to put your thoughts into words, somehow you get writers block...

Just been feeling kinda down following the gathering at Changi Airport last saturday. Just that some people are just jerks. But there is not much that can be done. but it is always good to have the support of your friends in times like these. But still I can't help but be affected by peoples opinion of me and how they treat me. Bitches like that will get what is coming to them sooner or later.
