All rise to welcome the new kid on the block

Hasli finally got my blog address. He went on a commenting spree. If only everyone could be like him I would update my blogs more often. *hint hint*

He advocates himself as a bringer of truth and justice.

We shall see...

Claypots in Geylang

Saturday

Joyce had to attend a meeting for her ministry so I had to keep myself occupied til round about 6. So after work I drove to Sun Plaza where I watched The Village till around nearly 4. After that I took an MRT towards Yishun where I was hoping to catch Collateral (which was actually my first choice at Sun Plaza, but they had some problems with the screen so I settled for The Village instead) . On the train Joyce called. Dhe said her meeting was done and that she was on the way back home. So I got off the train...crossed the tracks...got on the train...back to Sembawang MRT. Drove to Joyce's place.

We had a hard time thinking what to do with each other. We threw out some ideas and in the end went to Sembawang Shopping Centre for a light meal and a massage. The next available slot was at 6 so we wandered aimlessly around the building till it was time.

The massage...what can I say...I came out hurting and aching more than I did when I first went in. As I am typing this I can still feel the bruises (2 days after the fact) and my neck is stiff as hell. Just wondering if there is any legal recourse for injuries sustained during massage therapy. LOL . On the other hand Joyce throughly enjoyed her massage session. In a nutshell, she loves it to be rough and hard! She is even considering signing up for one of their packaged deals soon. Go figure...

After the abuse...I mean...massage...we drove to Ang Mo Kio to pick up Joyce's mum. We then drove to Geylang to eat their famous claypot rice at Lorong 33. It was great. They serve the best claypot rice there. I even got an opportunity to showcase my prodigious Mandarin skills earlier when I made a reservation for 3 at 7:45. *smiles gleefully*

After dinner we made haste to get home. I hung around abit before taking my leave as Joyce had a long day the following day.

fireworks finale

Sunday

Joyce was helping out at the Children's Church. I took a bus and MRT to City Hall. Walked throughCity Link, but not before paying Maybel a visit at her launch at Raffles City atrium. Really nice set up they had with a jungle theme. For some reason Maybel refused to take any pictures for me of the models naked in the backstage area. Hmph!! *pout*

Was nice to take public transport again after so many months of driving around in Sunny.

Whilst waiting at the convention centre for Joyce, I took the opportunity to visit the various trade fairs and stalls. I even attended a talk for property for free-hold chalets in Port Dickson. But we all know that I will sooner get a boob job than buy landed property at this point in my life.

After Joyce was done, we went to Delifrance for brunch.

Got to church late, by design rather than by chance. We rather sit in the overflow rooms than queue indefinitely like the rest of the 'flock' who start to queue immediately after the previous service had entered the auditorium. In this case we were a little too late and due to the overwhelming number of sheep (of the flock lah..geddit?) we had to sit on the floor of the main auditorium. The fourth floor overflow is closed for renovations and the unexpected numbers floored us.

After service, we went shopping around a bit before having dinner at Crystal Jade .
After a hearty meal we made our way to Clifford Pier (as highly recommended by Lisa) to view fireworks. True to her word it was less crowded and afforded a better view than the spot we had the last time by the Esplanade. It turned out Lisa (she of the cows and such) was there as well again. Too bad we did not 'accidentally bump' into one another there. Woulda been great to see her again after all this time. Noel and his gang had gone to Sheares Bridge to view the same and had parked at Marina South. The main reason we stayed to view the fireworks was because Noel had asked us to join them. But it turned out it was just me and Joyce, which is not necessarily a bad thing anyway. *wink wink*

After (I notice that i tend to start many of my sentences with 'After'...hmmm) the wonderful, fabulous, awe-inspiring,smokey fireworks display we made like the New Paper Big Walk and trudged back to our car(not quite cos Joyce's car is HERS and my car is OUR car). It kinda looked like Singapore was in the aftermath of a bomb attack or something by the amount of smoke that the sea winds had brought to the city.

Drove 'Joyce's Car' to my place, whereon Joyce took over and drove herself home.

Monday hues

Today...not much different from any other Monday....

Usually I go out for field inspections on Mondays but was office-bound because Sin was on medical leave for fever and other ailments. He was already unwell on Friday so I guess the rest will do him good.

After work hung out a bit with Hasli. We went to Chong Pang looking for a cobbler of sorts. Found none. Adjourned for dinner at the hawker centre.Actually I had dinner (duck rice) and Hasli had bean curd.

After that we went to Punggol beach. Kinda cool beach. Not many people there and a good view at some places. Just the kinda place I would wanna bring Lisa too. She is good like that.

*sigh*
