In my world today..

Do one kind deed a day and the habit will permeate throughout the year.
That at least is the premise of a campaign organised by the scouts and the kindness movement. And 10,000 scouts across Singapore plan to do just that in the "Good Turn a Day - Kindness All Year Round" campaign. Let's all do our part.

At least 50 killed in Egypt Red Sea resort bombing spree
Suicide car bombers wreaked carnage in Egypt's tourist-packed Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday, killing at least 50 people and wounding 150 more. Police said there were up to seven bombings and witnesses told AFP that at least four of them were suicide car bomb attacks. Shows that terrorism is equal opportunity. (see reports below)

British anti-terror police hunt suspected bombers as man shot dead
British police shot dead a terrorism suspect in front of horrified passengers on a London subway train, as the hunt stepped up for the men wanted over a failed attempt to unleash a second wave of suicide bombings in the city.

Bomb blast rocks Beirut hours after surprise visit by Rice
A bomb blast rocked central Beirut evening just hours after US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made a surprise visit to pledge her support for the "new Lebanon" ushered in by Syria's April troop pullout.Three people were wounded in the explosion near the Rue Monot, a street popular with weekend revellers.

Noh handed Magpies chance

Singapore international striker Noh Alam Shah has joined Notts County on trial. The 25-year-old is on the books of S League outfit Tampines Rovers for whom he has scored 15 goals in 16 appearances. By the latest reports seems he has impressed and has adapted well to life in a foreign league. Chances of a contract are good.

New National Library at Victoria Street opens its doors to public

After shutting its doors for a year, the National Library re-opened its doors to the public on Friday, from its spanking new premises at Victoria Street. And from the large crowds that formed on Friday morning, it looks set to draw more than just avid readers. The crowd headed to the shelves and checked out the library's facelift, costing some S$200 million. The National Library at Stamford Road was a big part of my growing up years, I will definitely be paying the new one a visit but it will never be the same.

I need a new bed!
I been wanting to get a new queen-sized bed for a while now. Today while packing for my Bangkok trip I lifted up the mattress and board. The bed then started to fall apart. It seems the weight of the mattress and the bed board were what was keeping it in place all this while. One solution is to nail or glue the loose joints. But I think I might as well go shopping for a new one with Agnes. The bed will hold for the time being.

Away Message
I am gonna be away in Bangkok with Agnes from Monday to Wednesday. Agnes will be staying until Friday. On hindsight I should have stayed with her for all 5 days but it is too late now as the tickets have been booked. We are gonna go shopping on the first day (monday), on the second day I will be quite free the whole day so I will probably revisit some of the sights. I am particularly keen on visiting the Grand Palace and the temples in the area. Rose Garden also comes highly recommended. I will decide where to go when I get there.

Rantings

As I alluded to above, I will be away in bangkok for 3 days. The part that sucks is doing the darn, bloody DMM report! It seems like I am not exempt from doing it unlike all the higher ups. And that sucks! It seems like whenever anyone is off/on mc /on course/on leave the DMM can be left undone or postponed. But for me? No...I have to do it myself no matter what or train someone to do it in the interim. As such I have always had to plan my off/leave in and around to leave the 25th to the end of the month free for doing the silly reports. And for once in many years I take time off of work and still I have to do the bloody thing! Seems like me and my work is indispensable again! It would be all fine if I got the respect and rewards that come with such responsibilities. Life isn't fair sometimes...

Daddy Blues
Agnes dad and mine have been down sick with remarkably similar ailments and medical history. Fortunately my dad's diagnosis is not all that grim,it is only a urinary tract infection but still it has taken alot out of him the last couple of weeks. On the other hand Agnes's dads situation is somewhat unclear right now. The doctors have not quite put a finger on what is wrong with him yet, in the meantime he has been undergoing kidney dialysis 'just to be on the safe side'. Anyone who has been through kidney dialysis would know how painful and traumatic it can be.
Hope they both make a speedy recovery so they can be suited up for our wedding!

Xiaxue's Blog is back up
The old look xiaxue blog is back up and looks exactly the same. *yawn*
And she is still looking for the culprit...

Kenny and his coconuts
Kenny has come out with another of his entries, this time in regard to all that has been happening in his life lately. The guy is funny alright, but sometimes when he comes up with these entries that cut close to home/heart he can be equally engaging. Funny how one photograph can change everything. Admittedly he made a mistake, but he apologised, when I think none was necessary in the first place. he posted a picture of himself and SPG with their chests exposed on his blog. What is the big deal? It is his blog and he has not broken any laws. It fact it is double standards if you ask me. There are bloggers and others who get away with far worse without even a slap on the wrist, and Kenny gets chastised for posting a picture! It has been said to death before but I will say it again...IT IS HIS BLOG AND HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS IN IT. The ones resposible for this are probably the same pricks who got all up in arms over the pictures on SPG's blog. Please people get a life!

LONDON HAS BEEN BOMBED AGAIN!!!

Three London subway stations were evacuated following a number of unspecified "incidents," police said, as witnessses reported panic and screaming in the Underground system. The alert came exactly two weeks after the London bombings that killed 52 people and four suspected suicide bombers.A Sky reporter at the scene of one of the stations reported seeing dozens of fire engines and police vehicles. There were also reports that buildings around Oval station had been evacuated.

A series of explosions was reported in London, precisely two weeks after the July 7, 2005 London bombings. Unconfirmed reports stated that three separate incidents involving "dummy explosions", using only detonators, had occurred at Shepherd's Bush, Warren Street and Oval underground stations, leading to the closure and evacuation of the related tube lines (BBC). It is reported that one person, who carried the bomb, has been injured at Warren Street, and a man was seen running from one of the Tubes after the explosion. One report also suggests that it was a nail bomb that exploded in Warren Street.

News reports from Wikepedia are currently being updated in real-time.

Things are a'changin

Seems the more things change ,the more things remain the same.(my favourite phrase in case you did not know it)

Xiaxue's blog got hacked. Wonder if she will turn it into a positive and re-invent herself after this incident. Or will the same old xiaxue be back? Only more better and vindictive? Only time will tell...

The erstwhile well-loved Kenny has been receiving flak for his topless picture with SPG. I seriously do not know what the big fuss is about. SPG has boobs. We have all seen them at least once before. Kenny has a hairy chest. That too we have seen umpteen times. So the scandal this time is that they BOTH exposed their chest areas and took a picture of it? Good grief...

BIG FUCK has decided to close down his blog and start up a new one with a more harmless sounding URL all because his mum think bigfuck.blogspot.com is too rude!
Which brings me to that article in the Straits Times about the blogger convention last weekend. They featured all the 'popular bloggers' who attended and Joel's blog was written as http://bigf***.blogspot.com/. Which would be fine if they did not highlight UNCENSORED, Rockson Tan's infamous blog posting regarding the NKF fiasco entitled 'http://rockson.blogspot.com/2005/07/nkf-boss-got-cheebye-12-months-bonus.html' in the same paper. I wonder why 'cheebye' is ok but not 'fuck'.Maybe the editorial team does not censor rude words with more that 4 alphabets.

Speaking of Rockson Tan, isn't he the favour of the month?Even before the controversy of SPG and her boobs has died down, comes Rockson with one post manages to capture the eyes and thoughts of a nation. After that posting he seems to have shot into the mainstream of Singapore blogdom.

Funny how life is sometimes.

the implications of not using 'protection'

After reading about how Xiaxue's gmail and blogger accounts were hacked into by someone, got me thinking how vulnerable we are in the blogosphere. I had my blog now for 3 years. I written lots of stuff here that I have never spoken to anyone, even those closet to me. This blog contains my deepest thoughts and feelings about my life. My hurts,my pains,my heartbreaks and my disappointments. It also contains my joys, loves, dreams and aspirations. It is here that I say all the stuff that would otherwise remain unsaid.

Just imagine if I woke up tomorrow and found this blog gone. *poof* Someone had hacked into it and deleted everything! There are things written here that I do not even remember writing. And then there are things recorded here for posterity that I hope one day my kids will get to read.

I can only imagine how Xiaxue is feeling now. Though all is not lost and she will be able to get back alot of her content.(Think it is backed up till May 05 or something) But there is so much else that goes into a blog than just the postings. I have spent countless hours making this blog look the way it does now. It used to be a generic blog using the templates on Blogger.

I have had my email account hacked before so I know the feeling. Luckily for me no damage was done. Although I do still get messages of emails that bounced back due to 'viruses' that I had sent. But a small consolation is found that it could have been so much worse...

So what is the point I was trying to make? I have forgotten....ohh...use protection. Use a password that is not easy to remember(though it is a bitch to remember for the user to),invest in a good firewall to keep hackers out and back up all your data.

sex, booze and drugs

A video game ratings board on Wednesday slapped a restrictive "adult" rating on "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" because of sex scenes hidden in the blockbuster game. The company's blockbuster game, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" has been at the center of an international controversy after hackers unveiled a software modification known as "hot coffee" allowing players to have their characters engage in sex acts at the house of a "girlfriend."

To see what the fuss is all about go here. Funny part is the guy is fully clothed during coitus! And they were even 'realistic' enough to have the lady (Denise) actually reach orgasm. Talk about blurring the line between fiction and reality..

Scotty has been beamed up to the USS Enterprise in the sky.

Actor James Doohan, best known as the feisty, Scottish-accented chief engineer on television's original "Star Trek" series -- a role immortalized by the catchphrase "Beam me up, Scotty" -- died on Wednesday at age 85, his manager said

Lessons from the eagle

If the eagle choose to live, for the next 150 days, it must train itself to fly beyond the high mountains, build and live in a nest and cease all flying activities.

It then begins to knock its beak against granite rocks till the beak is completely removed. When a new beak is grown, the eagle will use it to remove all its old claws and wait quietly for new ones to be fully grown. When the new claws are fully grown, the eagle will use them to remove all its feathers, one by one.

Five months later, when its new feathers are fully grown, it will soar in the sky again with renewed strength and is able to live for the next 30 years.

In life, sometimes, we have to learn to make difficult decisions so as to make room for changes. Changes bring about renewal. And the only way for us to soar again is to let go of old ways, old habits and old lives, put aside our baggage and start afresh - only then will we soar like an eagle again!

The Theory of Zum-zum-tivity

Due to popular request I have to do my part to clarify what Hasli (Vaped) was talking about in his comment about zum zums. Hasli sabo king one. Tok tok,,then put my name and ask me to explain. Grr...

Err...how to start..

Lately Hasli and I have taken time out from our busy schedules to see if there is any correlation between 3 areas of a woman whom we look out for whenever anything in a skirt happens to waltz by.

Namely:
1)Her body
2)Her face
3)Her boobies

By our estimation a woman should have at least one of the above as an outstanding attribute. But alas not all women have all 3 attributes up to the mark. It then had us thinking that maybe some gals are ample in one area to compensate for their lack in another.

examples:
- You may see a girl with a body to die for(meaning good height, long slender legs etc) but not having boobs worthy of mention or a face that somehow does not live up to the body.
- Or a girl with nice boobs but a face or a body that somehow does not match her boobs in terms of quality.
- Or a girl with nice facial features but lacking elsewhere.

And then there are those with 2 of the above attributes but completely lacking in the other.

And then there is the 3rd scenario; a girl who is average in all 3 attributes. This means that she has nice boobs, a good body and nice facial features. Although she has all 3, she is not particularly outstanding in any of the 3.

The second part of the theory is that somehow there is some sort of equilibrium where each girl is given a preset amount of 'good points' to use.
To illustrate this point say each girl is given 10 'good points'.
So she can allocate for example 5:3:2(body:face:boobs) for each attribute.
or 1:8:1 or whatever combination. What this means is that each girl can be lower rated in one variable but more highly rated in another as long as the total adds up to 10.

Of course there are loopholes in this theory, as some individuals may be sorely lacking in all 3 attributes, or the opposite may also prove to be true as a lady may score highly in all 3 attributes.

It may sound complicated and convoluted on paper above, but actually it is a rather simple THEORY.

Conclusion
In conclusion we found after much deliberation that malay girls and china-born girls seem to have a higher probability of fulfilling all 3 attributes with an above-average rating than all the other groups studied. This point is also open to question as there are indeed malay and china-born girls which are lacking in one or more of the 3 afore mentioned attributes.

Please direct all hatemail and flaming to Hasli and not me.

disclaimer: Both individuals involved in this study are wankers and that nothing said here is of any academic merit. At the times when this study was being undertaken both individuals brains were not functioning at optimum level, and were thus only motivated by pure, unadulterated lust and deviant thoughts.

The NKF saga...

I think this is by far the most insightful and thought provoking expounding on the NKF saga. Really hits the nail on the head and gets to the root of the problem(lawsuits aside)...

Methods of Love

The blog about nothing

The Bloggers.sg 2005 has come and gone and what a good time they had without me. Woulda been cool to have gone but I had to work in the morning so could not make it to the talks at Woodlands library. As for the actual convention, I was too knackered to go. And besides I got to spend a few quality hours with Agnes(and by extention her mum and dad at the hospital) so it was cool. Maybe I will go next year. Anyway it is not like I am a big blogger like Mr.Brown or Xiaxue. I would not know what to do with myself if I had gone. I am not quite the social butterfly as you can tell. Of course if nadia had gone with me it would be a whole different story.

Fuck Buddies. I guess to me it is just someone to talk to and throw ideas and emotions to. I just need to vent and have no where sacred in which to do it.

As my long time readers can tell the content of my blog has changed somewhat in recent times. It used to be more diarist and introspective before. but now it has become more 'comedic' and a platform for social commentary than anything. I guess much like Nadia, I do my best blogging when inspired by disappointment and depression. But life with Agnes has been peaches for the most part. Surely we have our ups and downs like any couple would. But it has been mostly ups rather than downs these last 5 months. Anyway Agnes has said that she often finds out things on my mind from my blog rather than directly from my mouth. I guess it is true to some extent. I feel much more free to express my thoughts and emotions at length here than in spoken words. But due to her observation,I have on some levels scaled back what I write here to avoid her making the same comments in future. Sad logic I know.

Speaking of which tomorrow is our 5th month together. This fifth month has been the most emotional one thus far. The two significant events that marked the month were the 2 nites we spent in Johore Bahru together and the Long Face fiasco. After those two nights spent together, we were closer than ever before. A perfect fit. Or so we thought. In a matter of a few days the other, uglier side of the coin was revealed when I got all sulky after I got upset with Agnes for making me go to a funeral wake with her parents. Two separate events both triggered by the same need for 'togetherness' but with highly contrasting results. I guess if the first had not occured I would not have so jealously guarded my time with Agnes which resulted in the second incident. Funny how life is sometimes.

Agnes dad and my dad have been in and out of hospital lately. Funny how eerily similar their conditions seem to be. As I write this my dad is at Raffle's hospital undergoing another round of test and Agnes's dad is at Changi General Hospital warded for his ailments. Here is to hoping that they both get well soon...

Spent most of sunday with Hasli. We went to scope out the cat show at Downtown East, had lunch at Changi Village, walked abit around Changi Beach, explored potential fishing sites at Tanah Merah, walked along East Coast Park and did some shopping at Woodlands. What a day! And all I wanted to do was sleep!

Camou's condition has stabilised, in that I mean he is not getting worse but by the same token he is not getting any better either.

The plants in my fish tank are growing well. Too well. It is now starting to resemble a forest of sorts.

My back and joints are starting to ache badly. Must be all the physical training I been doing lately. Something has to give sooner or later.

Been thinking about maybe getting a 2nd hand car instead of a new one. Most pondering on that to come.

NKF. What a week it has been. The trial..the public backlash...the mass resignations..the takeover...wonder what will transpire next?

Noel and Paula are on the rocks. So what else is new?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUCE!

Did I mention tomorrow marks Agnes and I being together 5 months?

Must remember to post my pictures for my AA card and the 3 survey forms to AA tomorrow.Been long overdue.

Career?

Education?

Future?

Marriage?

*sigh*

An Ode to Steven's Spielberg..

Is Steven Spielberg America's greatest director? The jury is still out, but he is undeniably one of the most accomplished cinematic storytellers and technically proficient filmmakers working today. Watch a Spielberg film and you will see a master technician working his magic. He has an innate talent for making the most impressive visual moments look smoothly effortless.Best known for the blockbusters and fantastic tales that made his fame, Spielberg was at one time America's most perceptive chronicler of suburban life and family relationships, and he is still an astounding director of child performers. He's one of the few contemporary directors who continue to communicate a sense of wonder on the screen through humble human eyes, be they childlike -- reaching back to rediscover the glories of the natural and supernatural with a sense of awe in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "E.T." -- or mature, in such contemporary classics as "Saving Private Ryan." In his best work, he creates moments that can sear themselves into the viewers' minds and hearts.

Some of my favourite Spielberg films:

Jaws
Oooh. Scary stuff. The Jaws theme, the unseen terror lurking under the waves. Altogether making for one of the most terrifying monsters in cinematic history.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
A movie that filled audiences with the awe and wonder of what lies beyond our own existence on this planet.

Indiana Jones
The quintessential everyman action-adventure vehicle.

ET- the extra-terrestrial
How I wish I had my own ET and we rode across the moon like Elliott did. A feel good movie through and through.

Jurassic Park
A movie that made me feel like a kid again. We shared the sheer joy of seeing dinosaurs being brought into visual reality right before our eyes. At that moment time stood still and we all became children once more.

Saving Private Ryan
The opening sequence on Omaha Beach is still seared on my mind. The overwhelming experience in his orchestration of chaos: bullets tear through air, water, flesh; men stagger about, lost and limbless; explosions shatter the dull scream of war; soldiers bleed, fall and die, just so many bodies in the detritus of battle. Spielberg's razor-sharp images are charged with panic, his camera is almost too alert as it takes in the shocking information overload. War has never been portrayed as so intimidating, so terrifying and so arbitrarily destructive.

A.I.: Artificial Intelligence
A post-modern Pinochio tale who desires to be human despite the cruelty and hate he finds on his odyssey. Spielberg injects warmth and hope in the cold pessimism of Kubrick's future and an unflagging faith in the penultimate scene, where David patiently waits out the end of the world for his wish to come true and to finally be a real boy.

Minority Report
A glimpse into our future and what a future it is too.

Others worthy of mention Men In Black, Back to the Future, Twister, Deep Impact,Schindler's List,Empire of the Sun, American Tail, Gremlins...

fantastic 4 review

After the War of the Worlds review, it is down to a film I rather enjoyed.

It has been a long time coming for fans of the Fab 4, but finally Fantastic 4-the movie is here. And it is not too bad. Although it pales in comparision to say the Batman and Superman franchises, let alone the X-Men or Spiderman movies, it does fulfill the obligatory dual role of pleasing non-fans and those who grew up rabidly following the adventures of The Fantastic Four.

As much as I would like to get into Jessica Alba's pants,I think she is more a distraction here and is a tad too young for her role as The Invisible Girl. And add to that she is not that great an actress who has relied more than her looks and sensuality than anything to get to this point in her career. Miscast.

Chris Evan's is given a better role which plays better to his strengths. As a cocky Xtreme sports enthusiast/pilot/model he is given some of the best scenes and line in the film as a comic foil to the straight-playing The Thing.

Michael Chiklis does it again as he brings a rare sensitivity to his character as the depressed The Thing, who see's his whole world crumble around him because of his new found abilities. He somehow weaves tragedy, comic moments, character and insight into the behemoth using just his voice inflections and blue eyes.

Ioan Gruffudd plays the leader of this foursome, and is aptly named Mr Fantastic. The thing is he does not come across as having any leadership-like abilities. Ioan is rather wooden in his acting and lacks any on-screen charisma, which in my view is crucial since he is the pivot on which the entire story..umm...pivots...on.

Lastly, Julian McMahon. Most remembered for his role in the TV series Nip/Tuck, he does play the Devil's advocate here to a T. He is given a campy role as a campy villian and he plays it campily. Enough said.

Plotwise the plot was rather plodding. Think it took a little too long to get to the part where our hapless astronauts became superheroes. In between the mishap at the space station and the finale where the heroes finally combine to vanquish the evil Dr. Doom is a whole lot of talking, only saved by funny lines (between The Human Torch and The Thing) and set pieces setting up(what else?) the characters and their respective new-found abilities. The love story kind of falls flat due to the lack of chemistry between the 2 leads(?). But as it stands such comic adaptations tend to be better the second go-round (see Spiderman/X-Men/Batman). So maybe I should not take them to task for the slow character development and skimpy plot.

The Fantastic Four are, in short, underwhelming. How could I be amazed by a movie that makes its own characters so indifferent about themselves? The Human Torch, to repeat, can burn at supernova temperatures! He can become so hot, indeed, that he could threaten the very existence of the Earth itself! This is absolutely stupendously amazing, wouldn't you agree? If you could burn at supernova temperatures, would you be able to stop talking about it? After Johnny Storm finds out he has become the Human Torch, he takes it pretty much in stride, showing off a little by setting his thumb on fire. Later he saves the Earth, while Invisible Woman simultaneously contains his supernova so he doesn't destroy it. That means Invisible Woman could maybe create a force field to contain the sun, which would be a big deal, but she's too distracted to explore the possibilities. The entire nature of their existence has radically changed, and they're about as excited as if they got a makeover.Make that not even as excited as those people who get makeovers on reality TV. The exception is Ben Grimm, as the Thing, who gets depressed when he looks in the mirror. The others look normal except when actually exhibiting superpowers, unlike poor Ben.

But all things considered it is a fun film and has a huge upside in the sequels if the flaws are dealt with and the strengths acentuated.

War of the Worlds review

Watched it.
As much as I anticipated watching this epic sci-fi film, sadly it did not live up to the hype.

I guess I was expecting a more contemporary adaptation of the H G Wells classic. But it came across more as a slick 70's vision of Martians than anything. The machines of the Martians resemble something out of the original novel and not a modern interpretation of it. I mean by all means remain faithful to the original, but watching huge tripods walking around does not quite inspire the awe or fear it did in the 1930's.
Overall the film was rather bleak and had apocalyptic overtones *duh*.
The ending...ahh...the ending...horrible! The worst and most anti-climatic ending to come out of Hollywood in recent times. Where was the the final battle? Where was the epic struggle between good and evil? Where was the flourish of human will overcoming the insurmountable odds and thus vanquishing of the faceless machines? No Independence day ending here. No chest thumping. No lump in throat. Bah.

*SPOILER ALERT*

WTF!!! The aliens died because they were unable to form immunity to bacteria and viruses?? That is how mankind was saved from certain extinction?

Dakota Fanning is great in her niche roles as a frightened, creepy looking kid. But here she tends to overact and come across as a cry baby. After 10 minutes of it you just wish someone would slap some sense into her after all her screeching, whining and just basically being a pain in the ass.

And this is a film that calls you to suspend logic and lacks suspense. It is alright if our heroes have close shaves and escape by the skin of their teeh a FEW times. But this borders on the ridiculous when they seemingly survive and evade all the alien technology and destruction time after time.

In all this film was just a lazy excuse to rehash old ideas and 'dazzle' us with amazing special effects. It lacks the charm and heart that characterised most Spielberg films.

Rating: 2 1/2 fingers up the nose out of 5

Triumph- the comic insult dog

His official bio reads like this:

For Triumph The Insult Comic Dog, Come Poop With Me brings full circle a turbulent career that has spanned 63 dog years, dog years of struggle, faith, hope, spite, contempt, and now, at last, actual triumph.

Few today are likely to remember Triumph's early television appearances on the "Steve Allen Show," where network censors forced him to say, "for me to go to the bathroom on." Triumph overcame this and was an emerging star until his controversial 1968 appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show," from which he was barred after his unfortunate ass-raping of Topo Gigio.

Banned from the airwaves following this incident, Triumph returned to his Catskill roots, dabbling behind the scenes as a comedy writer, crafting quips for everyone from Mr. Ed to Dick Gregory. Unhappily, Gregory fired him upon discovering Triumph was selling the same jokes to both.

In the '70s and '80s, aside from appearances on "The Love Boat" and "Donny and Marie," Triumph was best known as part of a modern "Rat Pack" that included himself, Robert Goulet, Merv Griffin and the Chuck Wagon dog. Today, as a regular on "Late Night," Triumph is adored by a whole new audience of not overly discerning young people. But Come Poop With Me, his first album in many years (the classic Songs In The Key of Poop may yet be re-released) reveals a lifelong passion. For Triumph grew up with music; it is as much a part of him as his tail or his pink thing. His father, a toy Rottweiler, sang in Yiddish Theater, and his mother, a sleek Afghan, looks like Celine Dion. (Triumph's sister isn't musical, but she smells like Christina Aguilera.)

Music is a companion on the lonely road, where Triumph lives year-round, away from his wife Erma, his mistress, Ladyfluff, and his 284 illegitimate children. Triumph has toured worldwide, from Alaska to Morocco, and has acquired gonorrhea from Pekingese, Chihuahuas, Lhasa Apsos, and an Amazon howler monkey, among many others. It is no surprise then, that his album encompasses a wide variety of musical styles, from the Caribbean calypso of "Underage Bichon," to the traditional Irish drinking song "Lick Myself," to the harder-edged anti-spaying diatribe, "Bob Barker," Triumph's venomous attack on the castration-happy quizmaster, howled with the aid of Jack Black.

But Come Poop With Me is more than simply a collection of bawdy songs, rude phone calls, and coarse exchanges with Blevel notables. It is also an album of surprising heart (as well as bowel). Marvel as Triumph picks at the last scraps of the "Dell Guy's" dignity, then slips seamlessly into his poignant rendition of the Yiddish classic "My Mama," an emotional plea to an aroused fellow canine on behalf of his aging mother. Here is the tender Triumph, and on the bonus track (a contemporary "rap" for the younger set), "I Keed" is Triumph's way of reminding us that even while attacking many of music's biggest names, he keeds. His so-called feud with Eminem, for example, is in fact merely light-hearted badinage between mutually admiring show business peers with much in common. Both are fearless mavericks. Both use humor to make their points. And both have had sex with Mariah Carey.

Triumph even has an album out and several DVD's on the shelves. Not bad for a hand puppet with a funny accent.

Check out his official site.Find videos and soundbites of his skits. Hilarious stuff.
Or go to the Conan O'Brien site to catch snippets of his work. Lotsa interviews, weather reports, and parodies, including 8 Nipples. Of special mention is his break-out Westminster Dog Show series.
