Simona and Bruce are in town

an excerpt from Simona's email (it may look long now, you shoulda seen the whole thing..oh man):

I’m in Austria now, spent new years here with mom, dad, sis and one of mom’s frnds she’s had from uni times- oh yeah also two of my dad’s friends- work connections. New years was a series of dinner, sit around waiting for the 12:00 marker, open champagne, traditional cake, go onto the balcony, upon midnight listened to the traditional waltz over the radio and watched the local village fireworks and by 1:30 I was in bed (and I was pushing it, seeing that everyone else was in bed by 1:00am) having had a grand total of 3 glasses of champagne. But it was good- I hadn’t seen it in such a long time n it’s so beautiful. Our house is a bit higher up so looking down on the village, in a closed valley, too small to ruin a good night sky with light pollution, every firework lighting up the snow banks. I can’t describe it- obviously J. It was nice. One good thing about coming out here intermittently makes you see something you might take more for granted seeing it commonly. Anyhooooo, setting off to Germany tomorrow to see my other grandmother and other rellies and then back to singaporeeeeee. Weeheeeheee. I’m in Singapore from the 8th till the 21st January, so a full 12 days to do everything and see everyone J *hint hint*. It would be good if maybe we could meet up or at least give a tinkle on the fone. Holler back. As yet I’m still using my Australian number (0411704906) but in SG ill swap over to my Singapore number- which I can’t remember atm.

I will definitely try to meet up with her before she goes back and maybe round up Nadia as well if schedules permit.Reason is Bruce is in town as well. So I guess Nads(the shortened and much disdained shortening of her name) will be fully occupied till Bruce goes off, but I plan to meet up with the 2 of em as much as I can.

in the wake of the tsunami

The tsunami disaster has affected all of us due to the magnitude of the destruction it left in its wake and the loss of human lives reaching 160,000. But trust some idiots to take advantage of other peoples misery to make a quick buck.

First there are the people who are cashing in on the orphans and children who do not know the fate of their families. These guys actually round up these kids and try to 'auction' them off to bidders?? It is already traumatic enough having survived their ordeal. Now they have to be put through this?? Hope you fuckers rot in hell and may God have mercy on your souls because I don't!!!

And then there are those who go around collecting funds for the 'tsunami victims' and so-and-so charitable organisation. These guys are leveraging on public sympathy to make a quick buck. What kind of human being are you to do something like that? Have you no conscience...at all??

Lastly there are the corrupt goverment officials who siphon off the monies meant for relief efforts for their own retirement fund. I say execute all of them. Every single one of them. No wonder foreign investors are relunctant to invest in Indonesia due to the corruption and graft that permeneates all levels of society.

So... please do help those in need but see to it that all your donations go to reputable and trustworthy organisations who will ensure that those who need it receive your gifts of life.

Singapore beats Indonesia 3-1

I have no idea why Indonesia played so badly today but Singapore dominated large parts of the match. Singapore was 3-0 ahead by the end of regulation time but conceded a goal deep in extra time. 3-1 ain't bad but what a mountain Indonesia would have had to climb in the second leg if the score had remained at 3-0. I am gonna be there at the National Stadium next Sunday cheering them on.Only downside is Itmi Dickson plays like crap.Maybe he was too tense and overawed by the occasion. Something that afflicted the Indonesians by the looks of them during the national anthems before kickoff and later in the match.

Do us proud boys...I mean...guys!!!

it's a small world after all....

Joined Friendster after procrastinating about it for so very long. All I needed was a little 'motivation'.As of this writing I have 8 friends and 1 testimonial *hint hint*. Lets see where this leads me to...

pixie dust and elefunt tears

Gonna meet up with sis and her sis on tuesday.Whoopee doo!! No mention about Brucie tho. Something afoul in Singa Land.:P
sis seems mighty happy (or chuffed as she like to say)..hmmm...

optically disillusioned

Finally installed my optical mouse and keyboard which I had bought before christmas. I have no logical explanation why it took me so long just to install it after I had purchased it. But it is installed now and works a treat. My only concern is how long the batteries are gonna last in the mouse and keyboard respectively, especially so since I use them so intensely.

*cue eerie music*

Jackie called this evening about all the calls I been getting today. It seems that she does not know how it happened and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Yeah...right....

some good tidings for a change...

the general consensus now is that Lisa is the one for me. Nadia and Hasli have been vocal about it, as have various others.

Which brings me back to the beginning. There was a point of time a few months back where I was left to agonise whether to deepen my relationship with Lisa or to get back together with Joyce. I chose the latter and ended up on the short end of the stick.*cough* Still through it all Lisa and I have remained in constant contact.
We do meet up from time to time and it has always been good between us. I meet her for lunch sometimes when I am in the area of her office. We go out if our schedules permit on weekends. We are not at the point yet where we know one another well enough but we certainly do enjoy one anothers company. I do think in many ways she and I complement one another.
She is kinda tied up with work for the next couple of weeks so meeting up will be kept minimal,or at least that is the plan. But knowing us, we will probably be seeing more of each other in the days and weeks to come.
I just hope and pray that I do not screw it up again...

the days that follow....

After my last meeting and communication with Joyce, things have gone back to the way they were before. In that I mean she still does not reply my SMS-es.
I just cannot understand what doing that achieves.
If that is what she wants, then... I dunno....
I just do not want to lose touch with her even though she has been a complete bitch about it.
'BITCH' is now a commonly used word here. I bitch about the bitches in my life.BITCH...BITCH...BITCH...

grrr....

I hope she realises how silly she is behaving...

the bitch is back!

since morning i have been getting calls on my mobile from various people asking for 'Jackie'. It happened too many times to be coincidence or just someone calling the wrong number.

Obviously the Jackie in question diverted her line to my number for some reason. I hope the calls were important ones and that she gets her stupid ass burnt because of it.

Just goes to show Jackie's lack of any redeeming character and her thick skin. I mean if I was rejected by a guy I would not even bother to go on this revenge-type crusade. I mean what does it prove? Only reinforces the belief that Jackie is a nutcase and should not be touched with a 10 foot pole.

May you rot in your own bile.

Beppu Menkan and going to 'bed'

After much ado I finally met up with Rachelle again. We been planning to meet up for quite a while now but something always cropped up on her side at the last minute.

Initially I had planned to pick her from her place and then proceed to dinner. But as I was leaving the office I got the message that she was still at the office. The story was that she had forgotten to take her mobile and had left it in the office. Being that we had planned to meet and her mobile was our sole means of communication, she trekked back to get it. How sweet!

Anyway I got to NUH where I managed to find her after some circling. We drove down to China Square. We had dinner at Beppu Menkan at Far East Square. Food was nice and spicy. Rachelle had ordered hers at the highest level of 'chilliness'; eight chillies. It was quite a sight watching her consume her meal with her face all flushed, teary eyed and nasal discharge and all. I myself had some difficulty with mine as I am still nursing 2 ulcers on my lips and mouth wall although mine was only a 2 chillie rated dish.

After dinner we went to the nearby drink stall to chill out. I must admit they serve a good teh halia. Must bring my teh halia mate,Hasli, there one day. Besides that their other beverages are quite good also. Their Milo Dinosaur comes highly rated. Rachelle ordered an almond tea which tasted quite good. It was one of those cool, windy nights and the stall is located quite near the entrance so ever so often a cool breeze would embrace us. I guess it was the perfect environment to just chill out and have a good chat.What..with the music, the people passing by, the good drinks, the ambient lighting...ahh....must go there again...

After dinner we walked back to the car and I sent her home. Her last words as she left was maybe we could 'go to bed' next time we go out. I know what she meant but I teased her mercilessly afterwards for her enunciation gaff...bwaahaaaa...

tuesday blues

"I did all these cos i feel that it is not fair to waste yr time...Though i too felt that its too heartless..."

Well that is the explanation Joyce gave for her actions. What a crappy reason!! She even acknowledges it was heartless. What a bitch!

" Then what do u think i should do...so that it'll be justified .."

How about for starters: apologising and admitting that you are a dumb ass, selfish, materialistic, inconsiderate and too damn insecure for any commitment?

"I m sorry...Hope u'll have wat u want ..."

Thanks for the apology. In that case I will forget about the other parts above...

I am too nice sometimes for my own good.

monday with Neev

After work drove down to Orchard to catch a movie with Neeven. She is looking better than ever. Both of us got there earlier than expected as we both sneaked off early from the office.

We bought the tickets for the 7.35 show of Meet The Fockers.

We then walked around the complex looking for dinner. Finally decided to eat at Pastamania. Had a nice dinner and chat.

After dinner we went up to the Sembawang Music Centre to check out some CD's. I was so tempted to grab a handful whilst there.

The movie was great. Neev and I enjoyed it.

After that sent Neeven home.

Sundae

Went for the fourth service at church (4.15 pm). As usual was great. Pastor Prince is really an anointed preacher...

After service I rushed down to the National Stadium to catch the Tiger Cup semi-finals second leg. Got there after half time. It is almost like the teams waited for me to arrive before the fun began. What a match! Singapore was trailing 1-0 at half time. After the break they conceded yet another goal. Now Myanmar had the advantage and all they had to do was hold on till full time. But their chief striker got sent off after a nasty foul and the subsequent second yellow card.

Singapore gets a goal back.

Later on Indra Sahdan was fouled in the penalty box and the offending player was sent off and a penalty awarded to Singapore. In the confusion that ensued, a Myanmar player kicked mud at the referee and the linesmen and was sent off as well!!

Myanmar was down to eight men and Indra took the penalty which crashed into the left post!!!

Full Time

extra time

Meanwhile tensions escalated in the stands and the Myanmar fans got upset. Some jumped over the barricade onto the pitch. Others got into scuffles with the home fans and police and started to throw stuff onto the field, others flungs the rubbish bins around.

After another terrible foul, players got into one anothers faces. A bottle of mineral water was flung from the away bench at one of our players. The referee sourced out the culprit, the reserve keeper, and he was sent to the showers as well.

what an eventful match!!!
