Simona and Bruce are in town
an excerpt from Simona's email (it may look long now, you shoulda seen the whole thing..oh man):
I’m in Austria now, spent new years here with mom, dad, sis and one of mom’s frnds she’s had from uni times- oh yeah also two of my dad’s friends- work connections. New years was a series of dinner, sit around waiting for the 12:00 marker, open champagne, traditional cake, go onto the balcony, upon midnight listened to the traditional waltz over the radio and watched the local village fireworks and by 1:30 I was in bed (and I was pushing it, seeing that everyone else was in bed by 1:00am) having had a grand total of 3 glasses of champagne. But it was good- I hadn’t seen it in such a long time n it’s so beautiful. Our house is a bit higher up so looking down on the village, in a closed valley, too small to ruin a good night sky with light pollution, every firework lighting up the snow banks. I can’t describe it- obviously J. It was nice. One good thing about coming out here intermittently makes you see something you might take more for granted seeing it commonly. Anyhooooo, setting off to Germany tomorrow to see my other grandmother and other rellies and then back to singaporeeeeee. Weeheeeheee. I’m in Singapore from the 8th till the 21st January, so a full 12 days to do everything and see everyone J *hint hint*. It would be good if maybe we could meet up or at least give a tinkle on the fone. Holler back. As yet I’m still using my Australian number (0411704906) but in SG ill swap over to my Singapore number- which I can’t remember atm.
I will definitely try to meet up with her before she goes back and maybe round up Nadia as well if schedules permit.Reason is Bruce is in town as well. So I guess Nads(the shortened and much disdained shortening of her name) will be fully occupied till Bruce goes off, but I plan to meet up with the 2 of em as much as I can.
